TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 How did I not hear about this story until today? Awesome for Keith Law!
biggentleben Verified Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 They only got a small sample of the greatness that was the exchange between the two. Law made him look the part of the dumb jock over and over.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Keith Law hates monkeys.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 What in the world was Schilling doing spouting off in the first place? Do we really care about the religious views of a former pitcher? This is one of the things I hate about social media -- it gives everybody a platform for everything.
biggentleben Verified Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 ESPN should have suspended Schilling just because he was a moron. Instead they suspend Law and have suspended Bill Simmons for having the gall to talk negatively about the NFL or their colleagues when they do spout off and act idiotic.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Another reason to stay far away from ESPN whenever I can help it. As if I didn't already have reason enough. And yeah, Keith Law just went up several notches in my book.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I don't particularly like Keith Law, but after this he has my respect. Eppur si muove -- And yet it moves -- Attributed, but not confirmed, to Galileo, after his trial.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 There was a recent graph showing what an outlier this nation is, when it comes to believing in creationism.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 BTW, why would anybody try to make a religious or scientific argument in blurbs of 140 characters or less?
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 BTW, why would anybody try to make a religious or scientific argument in blurbs of 140 characters or less?Presenting an argument in sufficient detail even a member of Congress could understand.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Presenting an argument in sufficient detail even a member of Congress could understand. I would imagine with only 140 characters it might keep their attention better for sure.
ashbury Verified Member Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I can hear the First Amendment arguments now. The US Congress is now involved?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 BTW, why would anybody try to make a religious or scientific argument in blurbs of 140 characters or less?Schilling's argument was anything but scientific.
