Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I thought Plouffe was going to be working out with the team this weekend with likely activation on Monday. He was never going to do a rehab assignment, so, if he comes back, then Esco moves to short. But yeah, still stuck with pflo as a backup. Still... 3 days in Texas... Without Santana... No net at 4 positions... Santana will have to be DL'ed quick and the Twins may need to send a pitcher down to call up two players to fill in for Santana does.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Aren't they in Texas this weekend? yeah ... but you also said it didn't look promising ... so that's what I was more commenting on as I thought he'd be activated after that.

That was just a general modifier about the overall state of the team not specifically about Plouffe. Sorry I wasn't clear.

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Well, I think your observation is a bit slanted is all. And you have that right to your opinion. But my observation was a statement of facts, nothing more, last time I checked, my work desk is pretty level. Strange area to choose to be so argumentative.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Geez. Santana going down made my belly ache like a was 17 and dumped by a girlfriend. The 3 F's are not gonna cut. 1 is bad enough - offensively.

Yep, that decision was probably made when the travel secretary related to the braintrust the cost of one-day purchase of airfare to LA.

Say Goodbye to Pino... Who comes up for the Weekend... Bernier or Beresford?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 That 'ish' post was meant for Bark's post, but it could work for Bri's, too.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Sounds like Nunez is headed for a rehab assignment. Plouffe (not that he can do all of those) is scheduled to start "working out" with the team in Texas. ....not looking promising. Doug Bernier, this may be your opportunity.Nope-won't be Bernier. Polanco and Vargus only IF on 40 man roster
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Good recovery by Willingham. Amongst the general carnage, one minor disaster averted doesn't seem so much... Still, let's see if we can reenact last night's resurgence? At least a little?
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Two early Angels' leads in two nights. And now Santana is injured. I would like a do over.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Ish. I'm trying to remember JB's explanation... Ick was the worse of the two?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Beg to differ. I get notices when rotoworld and other services post the lineups. Almost invariably it's the other team first and if you scan across all the games that start during the same window that the Twins are in the Twins always are the last to post. Not a big deal, really, just an observation. Yup. This goes back to the "Joe, how do you feel?" days of Gardy letting the inmates run the jail.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 On the Beresford vs. Bernier question, I'm thinking they'll find a way to add Bernier just to hear the screams about adding a 34 year old.

This one burst a whole lot faster than the 2013 Albers Bubble, didn't it, though? And in answer to your second question---> DougB has the major league experience and acquitted himself well in last year's call-up. I just wish they'd just listened to me in the first place last weekend.
