stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Do some of these guys have a big date tonight? A lot of swings early in the count.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Gardy would demand Butera back in that deal. Demand it! We may have to add a little extra value, how does a Kevin Correia sound?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Poor guy fell off of a cliff.Indeed, I wonder how long until he gets optioned.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I feel bad for giving up on Burton, I'm ok with continuing to feel that way tonight.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Jim Bowden wrote on ESPN.com that he thinks the Twins should trade Suzuki to the Orioles, what with Wieters being hurt and all. I can't disagree. I can disagree, however, with his assessment that "the Twins need pitching, so the Orioles should give them a couple second tier bullpen guys." (In so many words.) This is how you get fired by the Washington Nationals.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Indeed, I wonder how long until he gets optioned. When Hammer or Arcia are ready
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I feel bad for giving up on Burton, I'm ok with continuing to feel that way tonight. So much for that.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Whatever would make you think that the broadcasting team would collaborate and orchestrate the "message" that the team wishes to express? If Hicks doesn't even pay attention to the starting pitching, I highly doubt he listens to the broadcasts.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Ok, starting to feel less bad again.....
Reider Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Burton throwing batting practice again.. I used to really like watching this guy pitch.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Do some of these guys have a big date tonight? A lot of swings early in the count.I am hopeful for in depth analysis upcoming, but maybe this is evidence of the coaches and hitters trying to out maneuver the scouting reports.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Burton's first run given up in the last 7 innings.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Burton instead of Fien here? Ugh. Fien might be pitching in the 9th tonight to give Perkins a night off - at least that's what they were alluding to on the radio...
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Take him out here or we're not getting out of here with a lead.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Dang. If Hicks can get even a halfway decent throw off Hart's out there.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 A good throw might have had him.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Fien might be pitching in the 9th tonight to give Perkins a night off - at least that's what they were alluding to on the radio... Perk is warming.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 When Hammer or Arcia are readyI assumed Arcia would replace the 13th pitcher, Willingham to aggravate his wrist and be put on the 60
big dog Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 All right, let's get about 3 runs here and turn the 9th into a laugher.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'm seeing a little skid for the bullpen. Duensing and Fien doing the best and I don't trust either one. Let's not talk about skid marks in the bullpen.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 As Dick was saying, the team hasn't had any extra runs in this round of games.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Perk is warming. Ah. in that case, Burton instead of Fien (t)here? Ugh.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 100 runs 100 RBI for Dozier? Nice thought...
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Re: Burton instead of Fien It's a long season. If the Twins are gonna compete, they can't have their bullpen implode in July because 3 guys have gotten all the work.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Burton throwing batting practice again.. I used to really like watching this guy pitch. He's been lights out this month to be fair.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Fien has pitched once in 6 days. And it was yesterday.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 And it was yesterday. Yes. That shouldn't make him unavailable. Yes, it's a long season. But Fien is the 8th inning guy and he should have been in there.
