ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Battlefields and Southern food. That's all I know. And Faulkner, or so I hear.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 And this is coming from someone who didn't buy his first car till last December. You can get by on just a second car for many years if you're careful about it.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 And Faulkner, or so I hear. And Harper Lee.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I've lived both places. Never made so much money, or had so much fun in my life. In fact, I'm probably still alive because I left.Visited Boston many times and NYC a few. Fun, but couldn't do it full time...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 I would stay in Grand Forks until my youngest graduates. Grand Forks has been more than I coulda hoped for when it comes to raising a family. In two years... I'd do it. 1. Lake Minnetonka... Close enough to the action but it really doesn't feel big city. I'm a born and bred Minnesotan... So I already know everybody. 2. Ft. Myers... I'd love to live on a warm Gulf... Hurricanes and Jelly Fish are alright with me. No income tax in a Florida... Twins Spring Training. 3. Hilton Head or even Charleston SC... I really liked Hilton Head... I'd be golfing all day... May even get my score down around 90 after awhile... If Charleston... Gibby could cook for me.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 You know how some teams will lull you for a while and then suddenly overwhelm you with power hitting? The Twins do that with walks - quiet for a while and then five walks in ten PA. Not quite a substitute for power in the long run, though...

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 Hay-on-Wye, Vienna, and Ljubljana. I think you are making those places up.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 How much in unpaid tolls do you owe? $32.57
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 OPS battle of the millennium updated...Florimon .354 Hermann 274. By millennium, you are suggesting an over-under for when they collectively reach OPS 1.000?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 $32.57 You were able to bargain them down from the usual 25 cent increments?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Might be one batter too late for Hughes.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Visited Boston many times and NYC a few. Fun, but couldn't do it full time... Chefs get the Rock Start treatment. It was almost as important to be a bit of a character than it was to kick ass in the kitchen. I was a bit of an attention whound back in the day.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I think its ok to shift on right handed hitters now

Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Cool, I'll have my patio done and my Keggerator installed by then.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 You were able to bargain them down from the usual 25 cent increments? I threw pennies in the basket.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 What can you do with Diamond Head? Different facet of the same joke, probably.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 "Swarzaks Stable" Would've been a sign at the metrodome because Gardy said so!
