Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Duensing thrown in to make the deal work, I presume? Nope. Florimon.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 It's the passive aggression I hate the most. I trust everyone else is joining me in sullenly withholding a "Like" on this one.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I trust everyone else is joining me in sullenly withholding a "Like" on this one. I struggled with it when I moved back here. The people I worked with had a problem being held responsible for their positions. They apparently thought I was too rough with them.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Start your own meme. Is that like Choose Your own Adventure?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 You're envisioning a Mastro-for-Wilson kind of trade? It would have the undeniable PR advantage of burning several million in unspent salary budget...
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I struggled with it when I moved back here. The people I worked with had a problem being held responsible for their positions. They apparently thought I was too rough with them. I replied by smiling broadly when I fired them.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I trust everyone else is joining me in sullenly withholding a "Like" on this one. I get the bit but I honestly don't understand where this comes from. You would think the entire state is filled with morning news anchors and that just hasn't been my experience (and I've lived here my whole life).
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I replied by smiling broadly when I fired them. At least firing people isn't passive.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 At least firing people isn't passive. I did it as passively as I could. Then talked **** about them for a week.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Has there been a Mauer update yet? I can only imagine some of the internet comments about him right now. I am going to be glass half full and hope it is just a normal back spasm triggered by an erratic week of playing and then three quick games in cold weather and that it is nothing than a minor inconvenience for a day or two. This team does seem to have something they have not have had in a few years. Not talent necessarily, but able to do more with what they have. And more determination to stay in the game when things go wrong.

I've lived here for most of my life too, and I see it everywhere. Even my neighbors, we all get together for a cook-out or a party, and everyone are such close friends. You see them one on one and they are slagging someone over some minor issue. Quit being such a coward, and just tell me your issues with me. I'll more often than not comply.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I think that this happens everywhere. Take, for example, a typical Internet forum.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Maybe they like your cooking too much to make an issue of anything right then. I know they like my bottomless beer inventory.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I can only imagine some of the internet comments about him right now. I heard somewhere that he makes $23 million a year. If true, this would have some bearing on back spasms.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Herrmann buying Perk a steak dinner. Ninja Turtles...
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Hermann owes Perk a steak dinner. I suspect the team moderator will issue an infraction of some sort, as well.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Did someone call for a "Mechanic"? Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Hermann owes Perk a steak dinner. We went to Fogo de chao last night. I was in a coma by the time they dropped the dessert menu.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 We went to Fogo de chao last night. I take it they must be good, then? They advertise in airline magazines so I have steered clear.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I take it they must be good, then? They advertise in airline magazines so I have steered clear. Good, but pricey. A favorite of my nephew, probably for both reasons.
