Ummm... OK...

Chief... What do you think of the weather in mid June?

I don't like you anymore.

Sounds like 60-day to me.

Which part of the Tweet gave it away for you?:

A) CT scan reveals hairline fracture on Willingham's wrist;

B) visiting hand specialists;

C) no surgery;

D) Twins hope 15-day DL suffices for recovery

I vote "D"

7 innings... Perfect ball?

Do you pull Kevin?

Trick question.

There went the prefect game

Totally my fault.

Twins have 3 errors this year, Correia has two of them right?

That is correct... Officially.

In real life... That is so wrong... Think about the stunning defense in Chicago. We really had about 3 errors an inning if it wasn't for the scorer.

Good recovery by KC after the error.

Can an error be charged to the official scorer?

Not if the play requires "more than ordinary effort" to score.

Yeah!!! To quote Gomez Adams... "Capital Idea"

Official Scorer Metrics...

Eventually the Metric can be folded into OPS plus. Part of ball park metrics.

Gladden just said flo is one of those guys that handles the bat pretty well although he is 0-9 and 2-28. I don't know what "handles the bat well" means anymore.

Well I haven't seen him drop the bat when he walks back to the dugout.

Florimon's at bat was maybe the worst I've seen since the one in which Javier Valentin, an alleged switch hitter batting from his utterly useless right-handed side, managed to very nearly hit himself in the leg swinging at an inside breaking ball.

Question: "Does the official scorer drink more when it's hot outside or when it's cold?"

Answer: "Yes"

I'm a pretty big Florimon supporter based on his D... But I'm thinking he's taken a significant step back with the bat and that's hard to do from where he was.

It's Hicks like Circa 2013 and I'm wondering if letting him play through it is wise.

It means Gladden's job description requires him to say something positive-sounding, however false or meaningless, about a guy who is 2 for 28.

Wtf mauer

Yeah... Mauer... Kinda needs to put the ball in play in that situation. Against Vargas and considering he is paid Approximately $35K per at bat.

That's the **** that bothers me. I don't need or think Mauer has to hit 30 bombs or "like a 1b" but he needs to drive that run in! Unacceptable.

What would you have said if the Twins were on defense in that situation?

A) Florimon operates a center that cares for sick and injured chiropterans;

B) Florimon was impressive in his audition to play Batman in the next movie;

C) That's Dan Gladden for you.

Don't look now, but Hicks looks like Hicks circa 2013. The biggest difference between the two so far has been that Florimon has played excellent defense, while the jury is still out on Hicksie's.

For the record, if reports of Nunez' defense are accurate, I'd rather see Florimon flail at the plate than Nunez flail in the field, solely for the simple fact that the Twins have painted themselves into the pitch to contact corner again, and need every grounder converted to an out that they can manage.
