ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I bet it's fun being Nick Swisher. Unless your standards are awfully high, I bet it's fun being Nick Punto, Drew Butera, or even Joe Benson. But, yeah.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Seriously, Dick... "Who would have thought Pelfrey would not make it out of the sixth and give up the lead in the process?" If you had watched any of Pelfrey's starts from last season you'd probably have a pretty good guess what would happen.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Pelfrey was good until he ran out of gas. Get him out of there now!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Wow, talk about falling apart in a single inning after what was an excellent beginning Chief was pretty good last season at calling which inning Pelf would run into deep trouble.

mrmpls Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Gardy looks 20pds heavier than last year. on the radio they said Vavra should of sent dozier on mauers double, why is vavra even still on the m.l. staff ? would rather see moliter at 3rd. seems he knows a bit more than vavra about how the bases should be ran.

Guess that brings up a good point (Molitor vs. Vavra) what is the hierarchy of Twins coaches this year?

C'mon man! It's not like Gardy has access to nutritious meals and a facility in which to work out...and people that could help him with a program. Besides, their is a thing called Poutine.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 In defense of Gardy, Pelfrey only had 57 pitches going into the inningYep, even this early that's 25 pitches earlier than you'd start to be concerned about most guys. But last year it just seemed like Pelfrey would hit the wall before the pitch count would suggest, and rapidly reach a point where three quarters of his pitches were a ball or a meatball.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Dozier's body-language is that of a dude in charge....even while whiffing.

Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Its too bad this bullpen is too loaded to make room for a guy like Tonkin.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I think I've seen that right fielder before... On our Beer League Softball team. Dude named Denny with a barbed wire tat around his fleshy bicep?
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 It's not like we don't have guys that can do this.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Ok, we have our speedster at first.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Dude named Denny with a barbed wire tat around his fleshy bicep? He was on your team too? Guy gets around.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Ok, we have our speedster at first. One of seven. Gardy can hit you with waves and waves of them.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Striking out with a guy on 3rd less than 2 outs, that has been a continuing issue for a couple years now. So frustrating.
