  1. Then you would complain when the bullpen gives up runs.
  2. Just going to throw out the notion that when a team starts Charlie Barnes and Griffin Jax the intent isn't exactly to win the game. So complaining about not pulling Jax sooner seems... eh a little whiny.
  3. Are you being purposely obtuse, like the TV talking heads?
  4. Seriously, the Orioles have lost 18 games in a row, the Twins are no where near the laughing stoxk.
  5. Dude, the season is over. Let Jax pitch through it.
  6. Agree about Rooker and Arraez can't field, but not sure Celestino is overall that much to be looking forward to either.
  7. Dude, chill with the attitude. Or keep pounding your head into the wall, eventually maybe the CTE kicks in and makes you happy. If Ober can stay at the 93'ish velocity he can be a legitimate starter.
  8. That maybe slightly logical if everyone was picking from the exact same list, and player value was truly only on spot picked. The best team passing up player B to take player A, makes player B less valuable than A, only in a vacuum reality where it is always that pick 32>33. But really your point is ludicrous.
  9. Joe Biden has always had the public speaking abilities of a frog. The stuttering, the lack of charisma, how do you tell?
  10. Except going into NY the Twins had won series against Chicago, Tampa, and Houston, in addition to the Cleveland series. Can you not always jump to a hot take?
  11. I do think unlike the NBA and NFL, lower rounds of the MLB draft do provide a higher chance of grabbing high end talent later. But it would be a nice to get a higher pick after this cluster of a season.
  12. Everything here, but I think anything less than 150 games are too little. The poor conditions in the minors makes me sick.
  13. They didn’t trade Rosario, they non-tendered him and let him walk. And who cares? He has been terrible this year and was on a downward trend the past few years. It was smart allocation of resources. I also give credit to Polanco, because as he was struggling he never shied away from interviews, often in English and without an interpreter. That is character.
  14. Judging the low minor league hitters this year after most didn't have competitive baseball last year is unfair. And hitting a baseball has always been considered one of the hardest things in sports. Right now, with velocity, movement of pitches, and hitters not facing a tired starting pitcher for a third time, what do we as fans expect hitters to be hitting? .250? .275?

  16. Besides being suspended for throwing a bat an ump did Delmon ever miss an entire year because of COVID? Delmon was a God awful outfielder too. And strikeout rates this year are not comparable to 10 years ago. Delmon was a horrendous player.
  17. We got HBO Max with our cable. I've watched some of the Warner Bros premiere movies, but the last month I've gone through the DC collection. Titans and Doon Patrol were surprisingly good.
  18. Yeah, this is pointless to discuss if you're just going to go Joe Morgan on the bit. Good day sir.
  19. Wow. Batting average? Is this 1998?
  20. I've called them "Cleveland" for years. Feels dirty saying 'the I word". Is that too much virtue signaling whatever your name is?
  21. The pitching has been so bad this year, why ruin the expensive and fancy deck chairs as the ship sinks? When you can bring in recycled deck chairs that you don’t care about if they go down with the ship?
  22. That isn't how vaccines work. They do not always prevent disease. Vaccines limit and minimize the disease process by jump starting the acquired immune response. Instead of 10 days of illness you have 3 days if you are vaccinated, or for COVID you don't die or suffer long haul symptoms. The fact is the mRNA vaccines were so good initially pre-varianasty it made evening getting sick seem unlikely and have made this "they don't work argument possible." Simmons is making the same invalid argument you are. And no legitimate research has linked cognitive disorders and vaccination.
  23. The return on the position players, would not fetch the front office what the players bring to the team.
