    I love that the biggest debate is about last year's #9 hitter.

    Rosario's energy is really important to this team. I was going to question Cruz at #5 because he didn't play a single inning of defense last year. But with the 2020 DH rules, that's a huge boost. One of my favorite thing about this team is that it's so even. There's not one obvious star.

    Clubhouse quality is probably a bigger factor than ever this year, since players are limited in what they do outside of the stadium. If you were stuck somewhere for 60 days, would you want a 5-star hotel or a 3-star hotel?

    Easily Bert, who I feel generous calling a Twins announcer, since all he does is talk about himself. Second would be Morris. He's gotten a little better in recent years, but he's very dry and stuck in his playing days.

    And to think I wanted the Twins to sign Cole Hamels going into the offseason (who I assume he's potentially replacing). With 0 games played as of July 21, I'm still happy with their decisions last winter.

    "The best thing about baseball is its seasonal length." Fixed it for you. That's my personal take. I do see most of this year's suggestions as a test run of Manfred's goals of "modernizing" the game. But I think MLB stands to make more money with 162 game schedules than 60. Unless they find a way to maximize TV contracts to the point where it negates losing 100 games of ticket sales + concessions, the season will stay long. (And I welcome that.)

    I'm not so sure about Wisler. But who knows with all the unusual things this year from roster size to "Summer Camp."

    Considering how well he hit in the playoffs, I think he can handle the pressure. Personally I like more speed at the top. But I don't think it matters -- I think Baldelli will rotate the lineup day-to-day. I'm fine with him batting 1st in the majority of games.

    How does service time (i.e. Super Two) work this year? In a normal year, I'd say he sounds primed for a May call-up.

    I know there aren't many Twins uniform pics to choose from, but this is an odd one.

    It's a weird thing to even notice, but I think it looks better on TV without the foul ball netting. Obviously is there for safety and we'll only get more of it each year but... I like that aspect of this.

    Unless something drastic changes from his 2019 performance, I give non-tendering between a 0-5% chance.

    "Eddie Rosario and the Twins have been growing apart for a bit" Do you have a source for this opening statement? Starting with "It seems like" would clarify that it's a perception, but not necessarily a fact.

    My only complaint about Saints games at CHS right now is the price. I can see MLB for nearly the same cost and the quality is significantly better. Anyway, yes, I would be more interested in the Saints as an affiliate. But I think losing their "independence" would hurt the Saints' brand significantly. I question if it would be a good deal for them. I imagine it would give them more league stability but take away some of the quirky decision making ability that makes that franchise so unique.

    That's a rough sign. It's a weird year, of course, but SD has infield openings.

    While off topic from the home of the Blue Jays, COVID-19 has many permanent damages besides death.

    I wonder if issues like this will make it harder for Montreal to eventually get a team again (or other non-USA expansion). It highlights one of many challenges.

    I'm really curious how teams will use the bench in the short season. You'd think on the surface that backup catchers and 10th men like Marwin would lose the most AB, but with so few off days I suspect it will mirror a 162-game season. And then there are things like heat waves that might affect it too. Or maybe that's just on my mind because I haven't set foot outside lately.

    I'm sure there's a thread elsewhere, but yes. The whole league is bunkered into (I think) 3 cities. STP & SF sharing a stadium. Winnipeg and Fargo sharing then some others.
