  1. Someone's cellar was cranking them out and they were being sold under the bleachers
  2. I don’t remember all the specifics, but kind of like the gr dbl, they got what they got and no more. Wasn’t due to runner or coaching error.
  3. Nope, wrong assumption. There really was no time for Max to score on that. He wouldn’t have been out on a close play, he would have been out by a mile. I don’t remember the specifics, but I think it came off the wall hard and fielded quickly and was back in. And Max is one of the fastest players. This wasn’t a running error or a coaching error, it was just one of those it just was things.
  4. Nope. The manager’s decisions did not cost them this game. You got that right. The players lost this one all by themselves. It was a terrible game.
  5. I don't know about goats, but squirrels definitely do not
  6. Who said this? The most any have said is maybe he needs a bit of time in AAA to reset his bat. I see no one saying to kick him to the curb.
  7. I’m not sure they were wrong about Jeffers, at least not yet, but I do think they expected way too much from him this year
  8. Sign Correa long term, move Royce to another position. In the SSS this year, it seemed pretty clear that Royce was the third best SS behind both Correa and Palacios
  9. Then I say ‘Eh, not worthy of your attention’ ? I’d rather fly under the radar anyway
  10. Ridiculed by whom? Twins fans or non-Twins fans? None of my Twins fan friends would do this.
  11. If Maeda is back, I’m not relying on him to be a starter this year. But, if he’s strong, that would be a shot to the BP, a role he is not unfamiliar with.
  12. It’s the hometown crowd. I think it would have been good for Rocco and the FO to keep that in mind when choosing who to play and who to rest. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal to switch the schedule up a bit to consider this. That said, I don’t think it’s a fireable offense as a poster above suggested. It’s a molehill offense, not a mountain. Bottom line for me, we won.
  13. I concur. I think our SP, once healthy, will be fine enough. But we need better BP arms. Lock it down BP arms.
  14. Well, you weren’t the only one … I was someone advocating to trade him after 2019 for pitching … thought it would be a ‘sell high’ deal … glad I’m not in charge
  15. Maybe the AL Central is more of a powerhouse than people realize!
  16. I haven’t seen haikus in the game threads for a while … the recaps, though, there were plenty attempts the other day
  17. Okay, I equate it to the banter not related to firing anyone … lol
  18. Maybe they’d be interesting to a non-Twins fan audience, but all their stories and commentary were just down the line of ‘Google Minnesota Twins recent news’ and all they said the home audience already knew. On top of that, that interview of Buxton … ‘I have to bat now’ and they didn’t seem to know quite what to do. Like what’s he going to do? Continue answering questions while he’s standing in the warm up circle and in the better’s box, because that was their allotted time to talk to him? Was kind of weird.
  19. What I equated it to was if the game thread were micced and live …
  20. 1. Of course the Twins can beat the Yankees. If we face them in the playoffs, will we? I’d say the possibility is better than in other years. But it was good, really good, to see the Twins offense take down some really good pitching in both the Jays and Yanks series. That was definitely very encouraging to see. Very. 2. I wish TD would quit perpetuating the idea that Donaldson is to blame for last year. We won in 2020 with him. The roster this year is very different. While the chemistry this year is great, maybe it’s not because of who is gone from last year, but who is here this year. Correa. It’s not Donaldson being gone that is the difference but I think that Correa being here is, But the Twins did pretty well the latter half of the season, so who was gone off the team then? By the same logic, maybe the problem was Cruz? (Definitely not serious, but it has the same logic.) Some players just mix, some don’t. It just is and I think blaming Donaldson is kind of, well, petty. None of the players have ever hinted that he was the cause of problems or that there was even friction, Sometimes personalities just don’t mix and it is what it is without having to pin all the blame on one person. 3. Attendance. Yankees always draw … in every stadium across the country. Last night it showed the Rays do not. But I do expect attendance to go up throughout the summer now that better weather is here and if the Twins can remain in first! ?
