    Still the only move to be made. Willing to walk away. If Boston wants a deal it's in their corner and they know the Twins aren't willing to add and play their game

    The thing is, they weren't saying anything more than what we all knew to begin with ... they were concerned he wasn't going to project as a starter ... well, okay, that's not new. But if Graterol was just not 'good enough' ... then why still want him as part of the deal? That was all just ... bogus ... as far as I'm concerned.

    Good. It would have been nice to get Maeda, but not at the cost Boston was insisting on.

    If Boston wants that, then they need to get it from the Dodgers, and not us. I hope we don't do anything truly ugh worthy here.

    The leverage the Twins have is to back out of the deal if Boston is now insisting on Balazovic or Duran, and I would. Then it's between the Red Sox and the Dodgers to work it out. The two of those teams WANT this, maybe even NEED this, much more than the Twins. Our leverage is to simply back out if asked to give more.

    I'd say no deal to that. I'm okay with losing Graterol ... I'm not okay with either of the other two.

I don't care who signed whom, and it doesn't matter, nor is the OP asking for that ... it's asking you to discuss our backup options no matter who signed them. If you want to have a compare/contrast 'regimes' discussion, please start your own thread or write a blog.

    Angry? No, I’m not angry. A little disappointed and frustrated, but, for me, it’s just difficult for me to expend that much energy on something I have zero control over, unless I forget, as I do from time to time. But I do have control over what I spend my money on and could choose to limit my spending on games and whatnot. And I keep reciting my mantra in times like this ... ‘It’s only a game, it’s only a game.’ Yeah, I’d prefer it to be a joyful diversion from other aspects of life and death around the world, but, there it is ... it’s not life or death here. That all said, imo, I’ll give it a bit more time, until the season starts, before I hand out my grade, but the FO needs to turn in one heckuva final!
