I can see May being an effective super reliever - placed into the game at anytime during key high leverage situations. Much like we saw in the playoffs this fall. I would also support placing him in the rotation.
Hard to disagree with your analysis. My only issue is with the Park grade of D. We found out he might have been hurt frome the get go and he still posted a 0.1 WAR. That feels like a C grade and I'm still bullish on Park's future.
I am not convinced the Twins are going to deal Dozier this offseason. It seems Falvey & Levine LLC are content rolling with Dozier at the start of 2017 and maybe dealing him at the deadline depending on how the season is going. This is my gut feeling.
I'm with you that RD was terrible in his own choke job sort of way. He induced nightmares for me many years after he left. The performance by Jepsen in 2016 was reminiscent of RD, just not as bad and in less clutch situations. RD'S son Ike was/is a big leaguer - I booed Ike a few years ago at Target Field for the sins of his father.
PA is the only KFAN host I can stomach on a consistent basis. Maybe because he is the only one who really talks sports routinely. The interview with Aronson was enthralling. Now, the Bremer interview was insufferable. Dick's stories about his hometown are even more overwrought and painful to listen to when Dick is given time to add details.
Diversify and get as much talent as possible and reload that farm system. With the return the White Sox received this week the Twins should be emboldened to hold out and maximize their return if they choose to deal Dozier and/or Santana.
The hope was that the new regime would make drastically different moves than ol' TR. Maybe that just isn't realistic and makes no sense. It is a tad bit disappointing, though.
The response on Sano is a little nerve racking. Here's hoping that Sano comes to spring training in shape and ready to go. It seems Molly should have talked to him by now, we are 60 days into the offseason.
Maybe if Sano worked on his defense during the off season it would boost team D stats. A full year of Buxton and Kepler in the OF. These two things should vastly improve team defense.
Thumbs down on these hires. Yes, they are all well accomplished players with the potential to be successful in these roles. However, this feels like a Terry Ryan November 2015 move, not the anticipated splash from the new regime.
Thanks to you for providing this site, this hard core Twins fan plans to check in everyday forever. I also refer friends and family to get more fans involved. Happy Thanksgiving and how many days until Opening Day?
