    If they were trying to win a division they would of went made a move already.

    Baseball is determined in July and August and you can already tell that the Twins yet again simply does not have the stamina to play well in these months and for that we sell. Don't try and have this illusion that we are still in it. Many are clamoring to call up half of the aaa team but we simply can't do that. What we need to do is keep cycling one or two player in and out of aaa and hope someone one will pan out. I grow so tired of the bullpen collapse year after year because of our starting pitchers not being able to go 6 innings and that our coach has no clue on how to manage either a bullpen or a rotation. Trade some assets away and actually rebuild this team like the Royals and Astros have done.

    Who really cares, Twins cant win at home anyhow so it really is a blessing.

    At least Hildenberger or however you spell it looks good until we use him every game for the next 13 games.

    Another reason why I believe Molitor does not have what it takes to be a manager. He should of challenged that play, but Sano has no business trying to take 3rd there.

    Why are people stunned at stuff like this. Baseball has always been decided in July and August. The team is yet again running into the wall when their bullpen gets gassed. Just enjoy the wins cause this team isnt going to compete until management pulls their head out of their ass and realize we need to put some money into that bullpen.

    This team is toast, hopefully we are sellers so we can bring in some talented pitchers. Dozier and Santana need to be on that list.

    Just one more decent starter and you are playing .650 ball. You need to just roll the dice. It worked with Shannon Stewart. Hell give it a shot.

    If the guy hasnt figured out how to swing a bat by now he is not going to figure it out down the line. I know the man crush on Buxton is in full swing, but he cant hit and I would rather have a guy who is a slight threat at the plate with average defense than a guy at the plate who is an automatic strikeout.

    I still cant believe we ended up landing Butler. We need a little more depth and think we will find that with the amount of cap space we have. I just want to see this team in a playoff spot. We have had a pretty bad drought.

    Coaches cant fix hardly anything when it comes to batting and that plain as day. I wont argue anymore with this guy in how the Twins need to trade him but will bring it up in 2 years when he is still batting around .200

    I agree with Yarn on this one, we have beat this whole trade deal into the ground on other threads. Twins need to go for prospects because we can barely beat the White Sox with our best pitcher.

    The Twins are sellers plain and simple. When we are 6 games behind first place at the end of the weekend you will also draw the same conclusion. This team has to many holes and such a weak farm system that it will take about 2 years to get to a point were we can actually compete with major league teams. Trade Santana, Dozier, Hughes, Perkins, Gibson, and possibly Buxton. You have so many holes to fill and need to start somewhere.

    This team is not a contender right now. It is a team who can win some games against very poor teams. I have a feeling you will see that by next Sunday when we are 6 games backs.

    We have no one in AAA who can start or hell can even be in our bullpen. It is time to stop living in fantasy world and shop around Santana, Dozier, and *gasp* Buxton. This team will not be in first place again and will continue that way until management and the fans realize you cant build a team around a 3rd baseman and a starter. Why is it so hard for people to see that?

    One of the main reasons I was not optimistic about this team is their inability to play any team that was decent. The other shoe has finally dropped and by the end of this week they will have fallen to 4th place.

    This team will not be in first place again this year unless we pick up some pitchers. By next Saturday we could very well be 6 games back.

    Given the current games coming up this was the last time you will see the Twins in first place. Maybe the management along with the fans will realize you cant build a team around medicore pitching.

    I havent seen anything that I would proclaim management as anything other than average. Ask the same question next year.

    We have dealt with the whole thing about not having a quality batting coach for years so if you think that is going to change anytime soon you are wrong and this is the main reason we need to dump player like Buxton because of the inability to train him.
