    Duffy is a waste of space. How many chances does he get? Well it is just like a trade so I am sure this will stop their current slide. (Said no one)

    We already knew that if we even had a couple of injuries that this team would fall apart quickly. I believe this is going to happen.

    Well when we get swept by Baltimore maybe more people will stop with their thinking that this team is a good team.

    Buxton didnt even try for that first homerun. Well it is inly fitting the Twins implode yet again in late April.

    Manager has zero clue on critical times during the game. He has shown at least 4 other events that he has no idea on how to pinch run for players.

    Same Twins different year. Bullpen is falling apart and we will be heading into May with a losing record.

    All of you complaining about the bullpen is getting really old. They havent made any significant changes to it and some of you act like games like to tonight surprise you? Jeeze, this has happened 4 years in a row.

    We are talking about the Twins here. No way do they sign anyone that is going to cost over 22 dollars.

    Not really sure why this comes as any surprise with the Twins. The last few years we have started out hot and nose dived from there. Same thing is bound to happen this uear because of pitching.

    This might be only one game but it shows how far this team is from being able to compete against high payroll teams.

    I think the Buxton experiment is almost done. Depending how long he is hurt and if he is going to start swinging at the outside pitch i am hoping the Twins qill move on quickly. I havent been impressed with his defense yet this early season. His throw to home was terrible and his leap against the wall wasnt close. I also believe the coach can tighten up a couple of things too. The turtle really should of been pinched ran for in the 10th and he is starting to rely on one or two people solely in the bp. He pulled Berrios entirely to early also.

    This thread is so typical when it comes to Minnesota fan reaponse to a loss. It is only game 2 and people are acting like the Twins are already doomed. We played Cleveland hard and hopefully take the series today. I thought the O man looked decent but was a little erratic. Buxton looks like he is seeing the ball and is no longer chasing as much, and aside from Parker the bullpen looks strong.

    I am not really understanding on why people are so crazy about Harper. Yup he hit 34 home runs last year but he also batted .249 which is by no means lights out. I would much rather that we would sign Machado which we wont but it is fun to day dream.

    I have to vent somewhere. What a absolute joke about the last foul call with only .01 left. If anyone in their right mind doesnt thing that the nba along with the nfl is rigged just watch some of the games. That pos ref is being paid off. I will not EVER bet on another Minnesota team . Such a joke. Could of won 9k on a 200 dollar nba parlay bet and the ****ing Wolves were the clincher. Unbelievable. .01 whatever

    I am going to play devil's advocate. We picked up an aging player who can only play DH. We picked up a 2nd basemen who not only couldn't hit last year but he couldnt field either, and we picked up an average first baseman. Now I am hearing from people on this board that we could won 100 games or more? From what? 3 players ? Buxton is a bust get passed that, Sano is very close to being a bust since he cant layoff the outside ball, and that leaves Mauer....oops gone. This team has rental player to appease the fans so they by tickets until July . They haven't addressed our horrid in field with two key losses by picking up Cron and Schoop. Am I happy they actually did something? Sure, do I think it will help this team win the division? Absolutely not unless they pick up some pitching.

    Imo this is simply saving face with the fans. We dont have a good enough team to compete with Cleveland right now. Signing just Cruz will not change the outcome of the season. Dont get me wrong as a fan of the bat I like this signing if it was piggybacked with another signing of a decent starter or a couple above average bullpen arms. Let us not forget that we sucked in the pitching catagory much more than we did in the batting.

    Are you kidding me? This was a horrible signing. 14 million for a rental? Does anyone really think the Twins will compete now because we signed a declining 37 year old? We needed pitching not some rental player. Unbelievable.

    I am for any pitcher outside the organization with a career e.r.a. under 4. They need to do something when it comes to this pitching rotation to shake it up a bit and also drive the younger players to actually do something. I am tired of the Twins continuing to panic mid way through the season for a decent starter when some implodes for 3 or more games. IMO they bring up a bunch if players from AAA who clearly are not ready for a major league start. At least have the option to use them in the bullpen for a couple of games before immediately having them start and sending them back down after a couple of horrid games. We shaved millions upon millions off the payroll with the promise yet again that they would be active during the offseason. Falvey has zero excuse now in this not being his team now let's see if he actually knows what he is doing.

    This is another excuse the FO will give on why no money was spent on pitching. This team is turning into the Florida Marlins.
