    Twins have given up 99 runs over the last twelve games, a bit over 8 runs per game if my California math is accurate. This is a good time to lock Baldelli down for another year.

    A Graphene roof will be the answer in the relatively near future. 200 times the strength of steal, and its weight covering the stadium would only be a few pounds. Very expensive to do now, but in a few years it won’t be. The next stadium built in this country needing or wanting a roof will likely have a roof infused with at least a small amount of Graphene.

    I’ve seen him touch it twice, others have to have seen that as well. I a not a swing expert by any means, but his mechanics look to me like he is trying to protect a hamstring or quad issue. Does not look good. I assume the coaches are asking him to tell them everything and whether he is or not is, well, it is up to him.

    Royce sure surprised me, at the end of 2023 playoffs and all, thought he was a piece of magic, but realize now that is not that reality. Great young man, perhaps not that special. Hope he proves me wrong.

    Exactly. A .180 hitter standing there admiring his hit. Disgusting. Maybe batting .280, I would still be disgusted, but a bit more tolerant with that average.

    It does seem categorically unfair three potentially first place teams get beaten down by the Twins over ten days.

    Is the metaphor here, two front office guys are playing 5 card stud, one believes Santana is is the answer as the card he draws is a third ten giving him a full house, the other guy chose Buxton to play center field and knows Buxton was ineffective as a DH, and is a sad gamble that he will play a long healthy centerfield, but is optimistic so he expects the card he needs to draw to win the card hand is 9 for an inside straight, and so he slides the card towards himself hoping as he turns it over…..

    I just hope we don’t trade promising talent because we dream of a Buxton 120-130 game season. We all would like to see that. Think of the damage to the opponent if a healthy and full Buxton season unfolded. Sadly, we shouldn’t hold our breath that it will ever happen.

    Sounds like Bremer may have been pushed out? Why? He was good. His love for the Twins was evident.

    I thought exactly the same. Total class act and a love for the game. Perhaps the injuries have helped nurtured that perspective.

    Was interesting that A-Rod was complementary of Lewis except when he said just after the second HR the Twins must be getting tipped off. If true where were the rest of the HRs by all the others?

    The way he laid off those first three pitches in the 2nd AB was masterful. Did not look like a 24 year old but instead a wily veteran.

    My worst was 1987 trading Brunansky for Tommy Herr. Bruno played a big part in the twins dispatching Detroit in the Alcs in 5 games hitting 412 with 2HRs and 9 RBIs in the series though his bat went quiet in the World Series. Traded a month after the Twins win the World Series, they receive winner cry baby Tommy Herr who between his bitching on having to play for Minnesota was pretty useless on the field the next year. Bruno went on to be productive with his power for six more years.

    And his blown saves are very efficient, usually just a handful of pitches.

    A playoff game? Are we that confident now? I’m hoping but not at all certain in my mind.
