  1. I’m afraid we saw his best in 2023 and we will never see again. He did have a career year with those 4 GS’s. How does this fall off happen with someone so young?
  2. Sounds wonderfully simple but you don’t just walk down a street and catch a little inflammation. Shouldn’t there be more to it? One would think you would find it useful diagnosing the cause.
  3. Royce Lewis in keeping his tradition will blow out his hamstring the first AB in the first game of the season.
  4. Thought the same about Lewis. I sure hope I don’t hear him say ‘’I don’t do slumps.’’
  5. I don’t understand someone so young needing tj surgery. How does that happen?
  6. Until July trade deadline, then if he was effective ownership would unload him.
  7. Lot of nice platitudes. Says rebuild is a multi year process. That means don’t be too disappointed about 2026. Also said rebuilding the bullpen, love his line: “ Obviously, bullpen feels like the area that, after we went through what we did at the deadline, rebuilding that group and reinforcing in that space I think would give us a chance to push forward.” ‘what we went through’ as if to say ‘we had no control over that, it happened spontaneously.’
  8. Nice story but we are talking about 18 games, like 18 games are 162 games plus playoffs?
  9. Isn’t there a bigger picture here? Does ownership really care about the bull pen? Or wining? Their gutting at the trade deadline of the bullpen, unlike the non bullpen pen players didn’t appear to be about salary cutting. For whatever reason it was done, and maybe will be done again. Thought I remember Jax was traded because he asked to leave, but giving up the others under team control was something all together different.
  10. More salary cutting? Wouldn’t surprise me he’s the lowest paid in MLB.
  11. I’ll just be happy and claim a Lewis victory if he makes it injury free to first or second base on the first hit he gets in 2026.
  12. In staying with salary dumping, why not trade him for a couple handfuls of low level prospects?
  13. Hunter mowing down AJ Pierynznski at the plate that time is always my iconic image of Hunter.
  14. Question, can he train into a better arm? Weight lifting or whatever? Seems logical to me , especially if we can train pitchers to be faster, why not infielders?
  15. Mostly agree with this comment, except 2006 was a very exciting regular season. 2006 playoffs not so much.
  16. I wonder on a Buxton trade. As pleasant as it was to see his game excel this year, his career body of work is more injury derailment than a year like 2025. Indeed injury free, he is an incredible player. But that other Buxton….. Should he get traded, I would cheer for against other teams.
  17. I’m assuming the interest rate, obviously there is no way to know without seeing the books. It could be higher with current market conditions, or lower if MLB gives a discount to a member team. A discount though is doubtful, or more teams might go after MLB debt.
  18. Here’s hoping I understand it. There is no reason to shed anymore salary. By the minority owners investing in and retiring $500M in debt, the Twins now have money to spend. $500M @ 5% is $25M a year freed up in expense. $25M can buy a couple of impact players.
  19. The story in the Tribune on why Pohlad’s didn’t sell changes next year’s outlook. The family implies now with the new minority investors there is going to be a willingness to spend. The post a few back saying the new minority investors unidentified are just waiting to sell higher at a later date defies logic. If the Twins continue running cheap, the price can hardly go much higher. Sure the price will go up as other franchises increase, but not in any lock step. A new owner discounts the Twins price by what they will need to invest to be competitive. So more competitive is the next move.
