  1. Uh, isn't that line the definition of sharing politics?
  2. Well, imo, if Berrios is in AAA, someone can be promoted. I agree, those guys do not deserve demotions. As for not needing RPs in the minors? I don't know, there seem to be none available to come up and fix the bullpen in MN, so I don't know if they are over supplied or not.
  3. too bad they play in April and September.
  4. I bought even more SHOP (money in my retirement account, no bitcoin ETF......)....
  5. Quite true. I really don't get the Springsteen thing. It's all there, and yet, it isn't for me. The Twins I get. You get raised on a team, you don't usually totally leave them behind.
  6. Well, the Rochester rotation should not include Berrios.....and Mejia is the only other prospect right now, right?
  7. You know, I should like Springsteen. He's got everything I like, great lyrics that sound right wing but are actually left wing, gravelly voice, great live performances, but for some reason, not a fan. No idea why. Kind of the opposite of the Twins, they don't invest internationally like I would, don't trade players like I would, don't admit they are rebuilding and take flyers on upside like I would, keep signing old players, and promote slower than I would, yet I'm a fan. There might be a lesson here, but if there is, it is currently escaping me.
  8. given they have no pitching, imo, they need great hitters. And, when I say great, I was including defense, so good hitting would be just fine to make him great. Polanco is doing exactly what many of us expected, and is why many of us believed a successful off season would include a Dozier trade.
  9. Buxton ..... I got no idea how to fix the young man. but if he's not great, this team is in serious trouble. Very serious. Gibson....I thought he'd be a 3/4 this year, but alas, he looks more like a 6 right now. Of course, the defense was atrocious yesterday. Why DanSan remains on the roster is a mystery.
  10. I would be good with one less player. This team is so many players away. Especially with two of their best hitting prospects missing the year.
  11. Probably won't be trading him them. That's stiff
  12. People still would keep him? Or am I reading that wrong? This team has no sherry term future. Deal for the future.
  13. always my fear with Burdi at this point. Heck, I might call him up now, just to get a few months out of him. Which sounds cold, because he is a human being, but I actually mean it in a good way. I think he's legit, and want him to get his day.
  14. blue means complete. If stop lights had blue, wouldn't you be there, and not care?
  15. Not only is no hitter worthy, other than Palka and Garver (who, imo, would be limited by position in impact), I'm not sure there is a hitter that even profiles as a good prospect who is in AAA or AA that we could reasonably expect to see this year. Gordon is in AA for the first time, and they'll want to limit his service time, I'd guess. Vielma maybe, but why would he come up if Dozier isn't traded, and is he really a good prospect? Really, there is a serious lack of non-pitchers anywhere near the majors right now.
  16. Especially given the year long injuries to two of their best...
  17. It's not really worth arguing over, frankly. They spent whatever they thought they'd save on Nolasco on Santiago. A decision I endorse.
  18. good stuff, both here and 1500! thanks Seth.
  19. Have you ever read anything other than this, on FG, ESPN, CBS, here, or anywhere? I haven't. And, as I pointed out, that's what they communicate, and hence what we know. We can't really know anything else other than what they say, and what they do.
  20. Baseball teams don't carry money over year to year, they operate on an annual basis, not carrying over unspent "capital" to future years like some other businesses do. So, if htey don't spend it this year, they just pocket it. That's what teams have communicated quite broadly over the last few years on many websites and interviews.
  21. If they aren't in the majors this year, at this age, something went wrong again, imo. very wrong.
  22. Well, every team has pretty much said they operate on an annual budget, this is not unique to the Twins.
  23. I've heard a few of them in the last couple years. For some reason, Delta shelved their video that was a bit humorous, and went all serious again. Assuming lawyers and FAA were the cause....
  24. PSA: 89.3 The Current is streaming Prince all day. I now return you to snark and bickering....and chief jokes.
