  1. We are four episodes in, and it is really good so far.
  2. Added like 10 or 15 more reviews I found. Some I loved, some, not so much.
  3. Every short movie review I wrote on FB this year, plus a few more I wrote today: https://mikesixel.com/movie-reviews-movies-i-saw-in-2021/
  4. Speaking of musicals....Tick, Tick...Boom was quite good.
  5. So far, season 3 of Lost is Space does not disappoint! (I think we are 2 in)
  6. Hawkeye is great tv. Really deals with consequences.
  7. If anyone is watching both Foundation and Wheel of Time.....thoughts on the characters? My wife and I could not care less about any of them on Foundation, but even the death of a side character in Wheel hits us. The shows couldn't be more different that way.
  8. We've certainly seen that the Twins can't sign new 1 year deals every year and build a staff (see last year and likely this coming year).....so I'm not sure how 1 year deals over and over to fill multiple slots is a good/sustainable idea (maybe they weren't trying to win last year?).
  9. I don't know.....I'd like to keep Garver, but he's very valuable I'd think (esp when the DH is universal). He'd bring back a great prospect, or two good ones. I'd 100% trade Arraez if he brought back a guy you believed in. I'd consider Polanco, IF and only IF you keep Arraez or believe in Martin or Lewis at 2B, but I'd have to be blown away. If Sano brought back a good prospect or two, I'd consider it. But, I really think he's going to come out hot this year and be worth every penny...that said, next year looks lost, and they have some hitters coming up that can't field, and Larnach is a DH imo......so, maybe? I'd hate to deal him, I'm a believer, and I don't know if you can get what I'd want. No way I deal Jeffers at this point. He's a legit starting catcher who isn't old. I don't know if you can get enough for Kepler to make it worth doing. BTW, there were almost no trades, so their lack of action there is not a surprise......and it may not be possible to make trades if the LOCKOUT lasts close to the season.
  10. Wouldn't it be better to sign players, than trade good or great prospects for them? For a team that insists that building with prospects is the best way to win? There aren't good starters left (Rondon, I guess). That's it, right? I think this is a clear sign they have no intention to compete this coming year.
  11. I can't see them offering anyone a multi year deal at SS. They'll see what they have in Lewis and Martin this year. And, if they still need one next year, sign one of the great FA SS next year (not that there will be any good FA SS next year).
  12. Which prospects do people think will start in MN day 1? Because they 100% aren't contending with that idea, not with the ones that have pitched in MN before. Leading one to wonder what they plan to do with some of the veteran hitters, who are not worth anything next year if they aren't contending..... I mean, if the plan is to use Jax and Thorpe and ?.......then shouldn't part of the plan to be to trade veterans for more prospects?
  13. Is that a serious question? Do you really think that was what that post was about?
  14. As long as he's healthy some year when they bother having pitching...... So next year isn't important, imo.
  15. Cheap, short term, bad pitcher. That's all this from office signs. Ugh.
  16. Who's playing CF in AAA? Cave or Celestino, because if it's Cave.....
  17. As opposed to what? They have Martin, Lewis, Larnach, Kepler, Buxton, Rooker..... He's not a starter unless two of those are hurt or traded. One of Martin or Lewis is an OF long term or traded. Maybe both. At what point is he up? He's as good as Cave offensively, and better defensively.
  18. They've been linked to top free agents forever. They've signed a few, in decades.
  19. Yawn. They've been linked to more people than Lindsay Lohan over the years......
  20. By this logic, every signing could come with regret. They could sign anyone, and that player could get hurt, or just be bad. They could sign Ray for $15MM a year, and he could get hurt.....should we look at that signing and judge it when it is done, or after the fact? If after the fact, then we just don't agree on how one should judge people's actions. Which is fine. It isn't irrational to look at the deal, with the knowledge we have at the time it was signed, and think it is a good deal.
  21. I'd prefer martin in left full time. Unless they really think he's a shortstop. I'd prefer Celestino be the backup, certainly over Cave. They didn't play Kepler there last year, so I'm guessing he's not there this year.
  22. Agreed. It was the right decision. I guess we could be disagreeing over the pedantic meaning of regret. If only we could, as Chief is, enjoy them doing what most of us wanted, and not get all, something, about the future...
  23. This is a great deal for the Twins. Like, much cheaper than I'd thought for sure. Leaves plenty of room for a SP or two......
  24. We don't always agree, but when we do, we DO! 100% on this post.
