  1. This has been Pagan for three years. It's time to realize the outcome does reflect the talent. He should not be on this roster. If you look at Bundy's starts, he's had a lot more good than bad starts.
  2. That's my thought, but then I'd have had guys to from the minors replacing Cave and Beckham awhile ago.... We know they're bad, take a shot.
  3. That's where I am right now. Not 100% sure I'm confident, but that's what I'd do.
  4. So, go into this year without Gray? Yikes. You have to give up talent to get talent. It was a good trade. I guess they could have punted this year, and not made the trade. That would have been safer for their jobs, I'd guess
  5. I doubt he could be worse than Beckham at this point, or Cave. Why not try? Anyway, hope you are well.
  6. And yet, Atlanta is doing it, rather than play obviously bad players. Twice this year.
  7. Larnach scored very well defensively, because he throws very well, and he takes good routes. One system had him among the best OFers at holding runners. Larnach would be a massive improvement over Cave or Beckham.
  8. I wish the Twins were as aggressive as the Atlanta team, and would promote guys that might not be ready, but have futures and elite skills. The won't be "ruined" if the come up too soon and fail, but at least they'd have a chance to be good (Atlanta promoted at least two guys this year that were crushing AA, but hadn't even been there for 100 at bats.....).
  9. Bundy has 6 bad starts where he went less than 5 innings. He has almost twice as many good starts as bad. He has zero good starts where he went less than 5......He has 7 where he went 5.1 or more innings. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/dylan-bundy/12917/game-log?position=P&season=
  10. It won't be JRod.... The catcher from Baltimore will win.
  11. The rookie of the year will be Rutshman. He's a catcher that plays great D and hits Miranda is like fifth on war.... All three are great additions to the twins. Posters here seem to forget Ryan is a rookie.
  12. Which other pitcher was traded that was better, that they could get? Mahle wasn't some cheap, bad, pitcher.
  13. Three good pitchers were traded. Two were possibly hurt, and one was too expensive. Those were the options, whether we like it or not. So, Mahle or ? Whether you wanted more or not isn't relevant to which starter was actually available. So, of the three, did you want one, or not? If so, which one? Castillo would cost Lewis, SWR and two more top five guys.
  14. Only three good pitchers were traded, and two were potentially hurt, and they couldn't match what Seattle did. They tried to win, rather than sit still. I can't believe people wanted them to do nothing?
  15. I count 13 good starts and 7 bad starts for Bundy. While I generally think fWAR makes sense, I think that pitchers are different every five days. Some days are good, some bad. I don't think you can peanut butter their play across the year like you can hitters. If you had been told you'd get 13 good and 7 bad starts from Bundy at the beginning of the year, you'd be thrilled. Very thrilled.
  16. They've both been better than I thought. So, yes.
  17. A lot less off days this year, due to the late start to the year. That said, I doubt he's starting a game in the post season, though if he did, four innings would be great
  18. Because Verlander is a hall of fame pitcher that has shown he can go further into games. Not that it matters, he isn't signing here.
  19. How is Contreras not on this list? I'd be very happy if they signed him, and I'm a Jeffers fan.
  20. David Ortiz would like a word with you about hitting behind the runner.... And, sacrifice bunts are a terrible idea before the 8th inning. Terrible.
  21. There is no reason he should be on a contender's roster. I've lost faith in the front office over this, frankly.
