  1. Nearly every player in the organization was brought in by falvey...... And he's the problem? It's the owners, and their budget cuts. I don't understand how this is difficult?
  2. Volpe is a terrible fielder. Who are people getting rid of to add these mediocre players, who aren't difference makers?
  3. Sorry. Neither was I. That 23 million goes a long way toward a good player....
  4. You left out the likely SP prospect and 16 - 23 million to spend somewhere else on number one.
  5. What if it isn't and you've signed him? For 85 games at catcher. There are, imo, better ways to spend 23 million. I could be wrong!
  6. 23 million for 100 games, 85 or so at catcher is a lot of money. I mean, if they are going to invest like sixty more million in the team next year, sure?
  7. He's never caught close to 2/3 of the games. I understand why people want to sign him, but I also don't think people realize how few games he plays in a year.
  8. Then you should love war..... Because it values the start more 😁
  9. I mean, KLAW would call that an overpay, Fangraphs would not (EMMA isn't even in their top 100 anymore). I'd do that trade all day. ALL DAY.
  10. If they went over by 5%, it will be a first, and I'll be impressed (it is such a cheap investment, relative to so many other things MLB teams do).
  11. Search did not return a quick reply! I thought we discussed this earlier this year, but I can't find it. (us, meaning this site, not you and me).
  12. I have zero confidence in HS pitchers who can't stay healthy or throw strikes (or, even, in general, until they are very good in AA or above), so I'd do it.....For a number 3/4 that just pitches 5-7 innings, yes, yes I would.
  13. I'd happily take either of SEA top minor league SPs for Jeffers and Hill or Soto....happily.
  14. I've argued that anyone 32 or older not under MLB contract should be a free agent regardless of anything else.
  15. I doubt SEA is looking for a catcher, but maybe they want Raleigh at DH? Maybe they are? I think you could go Larnach, Jeffers, Lewis (not sure they trust him over Naylor)....maybe if you take money back? I don't know....I htinnk you have to give up a prospect in this deal. I'd do: Jeffers, Larnach, Hill or Soto for Hancock. I'd sub in EMrod if they want him instead . Seattle has a SP in the minors ready to go.......
  16. That's what I thought, but I hadn't seen him...
  17. I'm still trading jeffers. Don't care if they win every game between now and the deadline. I get that isn't popular, but this is not a WS team. I'd happily trade with TB again for a SP......Ryan and Bradley.....
  18. ? Elmer is a top 100 prospect, and Volpe a former starting SS. You think you can get Elmer (# 55 overall on FG) and Volpe for Jeffers and a HS pitcher that is either hurt or can't throw a strike (both in A ball?). Or are you throwing in a just a guy prospect from MN?
  19. Sure, I'd gladly do Jeffers, Hill or Soto, and ERod for Volpe and Elmer (but I think that's light for MN).
