  1. Your point was that he's not good, as a 23 yo rookie with a great ERA (and great stuff+), and that he should be replaced, despite his success (and, you know, being 1000000x better than most rookies), on a team that will likely cut payroll in the off season. How would you like to upgrade that spot, while cutting payroll?
  2. One inning totally proves everything you've said.
  3. My bad, I've been out of game threads for some time.....
  4. ? You can't be serious. He has an ERA under 4, and he's just not good?
  5. Did I read that Buxton and Emma are both in St. Paul? Will Rodriguez maybe play with the big club this year?
  6. Three years in, fire him? Unreal. Truly.
  7. I don't understand why the Twins were allowed to bat in the eighth. According to the game thread, the game was over in the top half.
  8. I don't understand, but I'm guessing they want him to start a game? It's clear that they aren't ever going to give Kiersey a chance.
  9. Lee at SS, Castro to CF .... Better defense than now, about the same hitting.
  10. I mean, sure, most of the time it doesn't work. That's the nature of baseball. I guess we could just give up on him.
  11. Year after year they do this to themselves. I really don't get it at all.
  12. Fifth hardest projected schedule somehow......and a brutally hard start after game 1.
  13. Truth. Also, funny! We both know this FO won't do that. As badly as Julien has played, he's outhit Farmer by a TON. It isn't close, even.
  14. In general we agree.....but that first draft hurt the ability to be younger. I'm relatively confident things are better now....but losing McCarthy for a year really hurts.
  15. Appreciate our polite disagreement here......refreshing compared to the Twins' sections...
  16. Pretty sure the owners said they wanted a competitive rebuild, not a blow up of the team. I mean, I'm with you on Harrison, but not on Cine. Apparently Gaskin is in MN for KO returns, though I'd prefer a younger guy there also, does it really matter at all? They kept those young OLBs on the practice squad, I'd bet good money if they look good they'll play (and there will be injuries). Hall is 2 years younger than Rypien, though I'm guessing age isn't your point there?
  17. I doubt this article puts any pressure on him. You think Buxton and CC could play if they weren't so comfy? Or what are you saying? Just trying to understand your point.
  18. He's 5th in fWAR among first baseman. He's clearly not close to replacement level.
