  1. Miranda, Julien, Kiriloff, Severino, almost any hitter..... Moving Wallner there makes zero sense, as his arm stops people from running.
  2. Nah, Keaschell is higher rated, more like the next tier of twins minor leaguers....
  3. We'll just disagree, but I love your consistency. No team can trade all their top prospects and succeed.
  4. Nah. Chief places little value on prospects.....
  5. I don't know what Colorado has to lose in trying Dobnak. Always seems like they should get him for a ptbnl....
  6. They just won 2 of 3 from teh best team in the majors, w/o their 3 best hitters....they are no threat? I assume that only Bal and NYY are then in the AL?
  7. No, but some of those other teams will add actual payroll this year.....
  8. I'm not nearly that high on Raya, given he isn't allowed to pitch much. I'm just leery of him at this point. Soto? Tough call....HS pitchers have the highest bust rate of any players, but I think your spot is about right for him. I too would move Preillip (sp?) to the bullpen, and get him in MN next year. I don't trust him not to get hurt again, and I'd rather he make some MLB money than have them keep trying to get him healthy as a starter.
  9. I think that the jump from AAA to the majors is bigger than ever (from what Law and Fangraphs and MLBTR say), so I think they'll give Lee more time (plus, he's likely the best SS until CC comes back). I think Julien goes back down as Craig says just above this post. Martin goes down when CC comes back, unless Lee keeps not hitting (as everyone now thinks Lee is a legit MLB player, and Martin is a utility guy). Festa is clearly starter 5 unless he blows up, in which case I'm not shocked by any of Matthews, Varland, Boushley getting a spot start. No idea on the bullpen, but I'd sure like one lefty I trusted....
  10. Tartrazine: Was Luke Keaschall close to making the top-60? Keith Law: No.
  11. ok. I'm sure having CC the last 5 games would not have helped at all....not one bit.
  12. By this logic teams should trade all the guys they have if they don't win it all*.....adding these guys is 100x better than anything they can add at the deadline, given their restraints. *slight exaggeration of your point.
  13. So do Festa, Morris, and Matthews.....I'm thinking they think those three are the starters next year that get added to Lopez, Ryan, Ober, SWR.....not to mention Paddock. That's what I'd be thinking if I was them.....They might even think Varland will be available as a spot starter. I just can't see giving up assets for a SP beyond this year from a budget / asset allocation perspective.
  14. Martin is just better than Julien right now, and I'm shocked to type that (and Martin's value is mostly in his flexibility and baserunning and bunting, as he just isn't hitting yet).
  15. I'll be shocked if they deal Julien..... Because I think they are only adding a rental, and he's an over pay for a rental pitcher.
  16. Wallner is their best hitting OF, you didn't trade that. It just weakens your team. They have three prospects in the top 120 that are pitchers, I can't see them dealing for a controllable pitcher, while giving up a controllable hitter.
  17. Oakland has been awful since all the other teams added more statistical analysis to their teams. Cleveland and Tampa are it on the cheap side. Expecting any other team to be as good as them, while being as cheap as them, is unrealistic, apparently, or every team would do it.
  18. Twins have more top 100 prospects than any other team. They have a lot of 40+ value players. They have a ton of assets to move, just not the ones in this article.
