  1. I mean, fangraphs had him tied for 11th on the Twins list. Who should he be higher than?
  2. I've read that it isn't advancing the plot at all anymore, and is relying on being THE BEAR......but I've only seen that in two spots, so who knows? I assume you disagree?
  3. hahahahaha. I knew I had that wrong. I'm all in on him then. I think my brain still hasn't fully recovered from doomscolling this morning. Sorry. I mean, seriously, where the F was my brain? Catchers are SO HARD to find that if you find a good one, you have a huge advantage over your opponents.
  4. Janek being 25 already (is that right?) is a big turn off for me. He'd be at least 27 before he came up. That's tough. I'm all over the OFers in this list.
  5. This. If they move Varland and Stewart is healthy, they have plenty of RPs, IMO.
  6. They don't have to play every game... And larnach isn't playing against lefties. Farmer started again today. He gets two starts a week. Why anyone thinks this is good is beyond me.
  7. 2b with Castro in left. Castro can also give Lewis a break, as can Lee. Farmer doesn't play because he's bad.
  8. If you'd told me Lopez would be this bad, and Lewis would miss this much time, and Julien and Wallner were demoted quickly, I'd have predicted 36 wins at this point. The front office deserves a lot of credit, and I was totally wrong about Santana....
  9. Right! He's only really pitched for the last two years, in many ways. And he's getting better. And he's REALLY young. People, IMO, gave up on him way too fast.
  10. Not broken, but still may be true.
  11. I think that's the point, there isn't anyone worth pursuing (most likely).....
  12. Ok, I'm ready now. Put him at 2B, with Castro in LF and Martin as the backup....DFA Farmer.
  13. Yup, not ideal. I'm sure he was told to THROW STRIKES after the big lead.....but, hopefully the next start is better. Not worried at all....
  14. Which doesn't seem to be the argument you are making. I think one can rightly argue trading Kepler for a prospect makes no sense right now, but that's different than not getting value in return. I'd roll those dice, but I can see why others would not.
  15. Which has nothing to do with the last trade. Imo
  16. How? Has any player ever done that? It takes awful play by a veteran, and even that doesn't always work, or an injury or trade. I can't recall any current player displacing even a mediocre veteran.
  17. Syllogism 1:13 lol --- D&D ... sweet! Back in the day, a friend and I created a system for DUNE! Thanks so much for what you do! Of Schuemann, Schneemann, Austin Martin, Horowitz ... who do you think might stick?ReactReact AvatarDan Szymborski 1:13 Martin's certainly the most INTERESTING of them
  18. Man I wanted Turner that draft.....but yes, picking the right guy, having him be healthy, and you and him gelling on his development, likely over 3-5 years, is really hard.
  19. for MN? Virtually zero. They can only deal so many first round picks, or somesuch. They also deal for the player picked, not the pick, which is stupid. The dude they took is TINY!
  20. Tino 12:13 Would you consider Festa a worse, equal, or better prospect than Povich? Dan Szymborski 12:13 I think they're in the same general vicinity Biscuit 12:46 Who are your favorite "closers-in-waiting" that are behind guys that are likely to be traded?ReactReact AvatarDan Szymborski 12:46 The latter makes it trickier! 12:47 Like Brock Stewart should be a closer at some point, but the Twins aren't trading their closer
  21. I would be happy with any of those top three, acknowledging I'm leery of Honeycutt..... But I'd be good with that chance at 21. Nervous, but good.
