  1. Eduardo Tait is just killing it in High A ball. I'm trying not to get overly excited about it, but what else is there? Might as well hope he is a difference maker.
  2. I think first base is Wallner's best bet to remain on the team. His play in the outfield is not acceptable. Also, I don't trust Emma as a guy who can hold down an everyday position (health). He has been unable to do so in the minors.
  3. I think the power is going to happen for Jenkins. He seems to have really quick hands at the plate and an ability to turn on inside pitches.
  4. Wallner needs to buy a first baseman's glove and figure out a new position this winter. Otherwise, he simply can't continue to butcher right field. I am pretty much ok with moving on from any and all of the Twins crummy fielding players. Julien, Larnach, Miranda and probably Wallner all need to play somewhere else. And that's not touching the other players who ought not be on the roster next season.
  5. I'm mostly concerned about Festa's arm problems which seemingly point towards a relief and possible closer role. I think this makes sense and I hope like heck the Twins don't trade Ryan or Lopez. But if one must be traded, then my preference is that it is Lopez.
  6. I like even more that he is starting to play well in the field and he stole a base. Good signs.
  7. Royce isn't going anywhere. His trade value is at a low point and the Twins are too invested to dump him. I still have hope for his turn around. I like that he had the mobility to steal a base last night as well as attempt a stolen base the night before. Perhaps he is healthy enough to flash the athleticism we all saw 2 years ago.
  8. I see no evidence that Prielipp's future is as a starter. Has good potential as a reliever.
  9. I agree with much of what you say; however, I think you understate troubles of the Twins bullpen. Sands has been, at best, mediocre this season and Topa has been decent. They can not be counted on as front line relief pitchers.
  10. My fantasy 3rd baseman has tanked and I just picked up Correa. Go figure.
  11. To your point, I would like to understand where the debt came from. It is not remotely clear that it came from true baseball operations.
  12. Very nice job of capturing how many of us feel. The Twins needed a reset, but the commentary from Pohlad and Falvey has been downright insulting.
  13. I want to believe that and I am a big fan of Buxton. That said, I don't know that Buxton knows much about building a baseball team. His loyalty is super impressive, but this feels like an expression of loyalty vs. what's good for the team.
  14. Because Falvey built a team of designated hitters that are poor in baseball fundamentals. That is on Falvey.
  15. I hope like heck the Twins don't trade Ryan. I have little hope for Lopez as the Twins actually have to pay him.
  16. I like Correa. The Twins were no longer going to win with him and his contract was a barrier to retooling the roster.
  17. The Arraez trade was a fantastic trade for the Twins. They have a top notch starting pitcher for a singles hitting dh.
  18. I 100% agree. I would get Kaelen to St. Paul straight away and give him every opportunity in Spring Training to win the job.
  19. The Twins could not possibly reload their roster with Correa's full contract. It was an aircraft carrier sized anchor around their collective necks. Whether Correa is/was cooked as a top player, he was not going to get the Twins anywhere. I won't miss his insincere ways nor his grounding into double plays.
  20. I hear you, but the Twins rarely jump a guy two levels and if he is moved to St. Paul, he has to play since he is our best bet at SS
