  1. Break out the launch coordinates and let him go. Enough is enough.
  2. I agree that a deadline trade is in order. i wouldn't move now (unless a good deal falls into their laps). Reinforce which position? 1st, middle infield, catcher? hopefully the next month provides clarity.
  3. I agree, I think a complete pause for Lee is better than sending him down. And Gaspar as a PH or DH is a better option...of course, right now, any player is a better option than Lewis. If Castro's quality week is indicative of his return to relevance, then he should stay in the infield and the Twins can call up an outfielder. Sadly, I'm not sure anyone is ready at AAA.
  4. Lewis and Keaschel are seemingly the keys to improved hitting for the Twins. I love what Cody Clemens has done for the Twins, but I don't trust that he can keep it up. I hope that mistrust is misguided! That said, I think I'd wait a bit to see how they play when Keaschel is back. Paddack will never be worth more than he is today, but hopefully he can get through June pitching well which buys the Twins time to see if hitting remains a problem. The Twins don't have good depth at 1st base. I think they should start working McCusker at that position with St. Paul. Might not help this year, but it could pay dividends next year.
  5. Exactly what i was thinking about Buxton. If he and Correa are going well at the same time, good things should follow.
  6. I just watched that play and I think Correa is the smartest player on the team. He just seems to be ahead of the game in his thinking. True professional ballplayer.
  7. Unless the Twins make trades, I could see Paddack bolstering the bullpen late in the season.
  8. I'm not saying Buck should make the All star team. He has work to do. But your reason (K rate) is silly.
  9. I definitely think Royce Lewis should go to St. Paul and figure things out or go on the IL as something is just not right. Twins pitching has been extraordinary. Lopez, Ryan and Ober could all be all stars and right now I would be on Lopez and Ryan.
  10. It feels a bit over analyzed. That said, Paddack appears to be a solid 4th or 5th starter. He is strengthening his position to be traded to a team desperate for pitching depth. He could be worth a good back up catcher.
  11. I can't argue with your stats, but we have a ton of evidence that points against Miranda, and especially Julien, helping the team. They both carry iron gloves, and Tony and Rodney reports that they don't appear to be overly enthused. I don't like their chances.
  12. Given the current injury situation, I would be thrilled with 3 & 3.
  13. For some time Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee were our top prospects. They both appear to be rounding into shape and are hopefully a big part of the Twins future.
  14. Today's lineup should be interesting. Who the heck is available? I hope Buxton is back. The winning streak is awesome, but the Twins need their frontline guys back. All this winning is "muy" fun!
  15. i like this move. What a joy to have 7 starting pitchers available. The Twins are going to need continued great pitching as the injuries on the team have now reached epidemic levels. They are scoring runs with smoke an mirrors. By that I mean, guys (like Clemens) are producing beyond reasonable expectations. This is fun!
  16. I agree, Gasper looked awful at 2b. He could DH, but I would much prefer they bring up McCrusher.
  17. That is how I feel as well. Paddack is an adequate 5th starter; however, with our quality younger arms, I'd like them in the rotation. However, if Paddack can continue to be a reasonable 5th starter, he will have some value at the trade deadline. Perhaps he will be worth a good back-up catcher. If that happens, then keeping Paddack in the rotation as trade bait makes the most sense to me.
  18. Looking forward to his transition to AA. Based on this excellent article, I've moved him up on my personal rankings.
