  1. Adams and Ohl (if the rules allow for an exception to the 15 day recall rule), Ramirez, Urena, McCaughan, Ober for pitchers. Keaschall, Julien, Martin, Outman (McCusker would be the other option). Edit: Gillispie and Baker if Adams and Ohl can't be recalled (we need some guys we can DFA when Adams and Ohl can be recalled plus I predict Presley will be signed).
  2. Can the Twins even recall Ohl (and maybe Adams) right now as players normally can't be recalled for 15 days, unless there's an injury?
  3. Nobody will pay it. He will elect free agency. Then he will sign for the minimum with the Twins. He gets another chance to be a closer, even though it may only be once per week.
  4. Why not get Painter from the Phillies? Offer Duran and Bader. Not enough, add Jax. Do what it takes to get quality rather than quantity.
  5. St. Paul is going to need reinforcements after the Twins fill their roster. How about calling them up now. The Twins aren't playing to win so we need to move the younger guys up faster, like some other teams do.
  6. What is our deal with LF hitting mostly corner outfielders - Larnach, Wallner, Roden, Outman, Rodriguez, Jenkins, Kiersey. Why did we trade for Roden and Outman? The Twins aren't going to win next year, want cheap guys, and look to the future so why wouldn't it be Rodriguez, Jenkins and Wallner with Buxton. Then, you try re-trade Outman and Roden. Those trades made no sense along with getting rid of Varland.
  7. I can tell you how that happened. Falvey had a long day. Right near the deadline he traded Vazquez to France. He was awake enough to know that was wrong so he sent the paperwork in to MLB to trade France and Va..... who was that 7 letter V name........... oh yeah, looking at the roster, V a r l a n d. Blue Jays were pleasantly surprised and didn't correct Falvey's error.
  8. Both are in the Saints lineup tonight. Keaschall and McCusker are not.
  9. The Twins are lucky they aren't playing right now. You just got traded, you go in. You just got traded...... wait, who is left to go in?
  10. I'm thinking Castro as he was already linked. Plus, he's not listed as traded yet.
  11. There is one other advantage I haven't seen talked about - we are locking in a top 10 pick in the next draft.
  12. Really can't complain about the value we got out of our free agent signings this year - Bader, Coulumbe and France.
  13. We are total opposites here. I think high A is similar to college ball and suspect Amick will struggle in Wichita. At a minimum, I think DeBarge makes it to MLB as baserunning/stealing specialist. Hope for a lot more though. Winokur - didn't like his slow start this year but he is young and has picked up speed, especially on the power side. I'm liking him more every day.
  14. Apparently, the Twins didn't like the catchers in the draft as they have already collected two in trades. Also, Falvey must think his job is secure as Tait won't help the Twins until 2028 (unless this was directed by ownership to cut costs). Speaking of 2028, what will catching look like in the majors. I think framing will no longer be needed because we will have robo umps. That could change catcher stances. Anyone have a crystal ball on any other changes? Just wondering how this would affect guys like Tait.
  15. Just when it looks like Martin, Keaschall and Julien could be called up, they go 0 for 11. Julien has been especially hot and suddenly has the highest OPS in the lineup but tonight was not his night, striking out 4 times.
  16. If trading one, I trade Duran. I don't like the velocity drop. It's a few years back but there is some injury history with him. And I just think Jax needs some time as a closer to develop that mindset. And I do think the Twins will trade Duran if they trade one of them. Their reason - they don't like the higher $ relievers taking up a limited (self-imposed) cap space.
  17. Going back to last year, certainly at the beginning of the year (and maybe even mid-season), Jose Rodriguez was on this list. Today he was released. Wow, that train went off the tracks fast.
  18. Exactly what I was going to say. The only reason besides money to move Dobnak is to create room for someone else, Prielipp.
  19. That wasn't a sell-off. We were buyers and many people have problems with our buying decisions.
