    My 2 cents - scrap the lefty/righty platoon crap and put the best defense on the field. We've certainly seen the consequences of not doing that the past couple weeks, if not all season. If that means Austin Martin in CF so be it.

    Yes Joe Ryan and SWR should be throwing bats, destroying lounge chairs. They did everything they could to win these last two games and got zero support. Somebody needs to raise hell and if Rocco, C4, BB or anyone else who thinks they're a leader won't do it then the youngsters might as well. They didn't just lose a pitcher when they let Gray walk, they lost a leader.

    Scrolling to the bottom to respond to an article can be annoying - but that's a pretty minor beef. Technically I've never had any problems using the forums. I've been using the Internet since 95 and this forum works as well as any I've been on.

    The question should be asked to the umpire. In no other sport will a live play be stopped in a situation like this, unless a players life is in danger. And in this case there was absolutely no reason to believe it was. (I don't watch soccer so maybe I'm wrong). Do marathon runners all stop when one of them gets leg cramps?

    I was among the nay sayers all off season. But every day he gives me an atoadaso ("I told you so" for those who don't speak TPB). I'm now convinced his bat is real. Still not sold on his defense except for his versatility. But he's looking like a legit super utility guy.

    So how do the minor league rosters work. Say - a twin gets injured, they bring up a guy from St Paul. Now St Paul needs to bring up a guy from Wichita etc etc. It's there a limit to how many moves those teams can make? Are their rosters 26 also? Inquiring minds need to know ...

    I'm a bit old school. I can't cut off Berrios' value at the end of his contract. He could have been re-signed so it'll take longer to evaluate this deal in my eyes. But I'm glad we're finally getting a glimpse at our return.

    So we've all seen the video by now of the Bratwurst almost plowing over Byron Buxton in Milwaukee. Let's face it, if the guy HAD bowled him over and Buck had gotten injured, not a single one of us would have been surprised. It would be just another day in the Life of Byron. Like, of course he's out for two months now. But the fact that he DIDN'T get bowled over signals a change of luck. It's a good omen. This is the year he's going to play injury free!! All hail Lord Byron!!
