  1. Well at least the BS obstruction call doesn’t matter now.
  2. Happy for Royce. Outman wouldn’t have hit those sliders with a paddle.
  3. I’m really happy that Martin is playing so much better but he is not the sharpest player out there.
  4. Ok Martin needs his challenge privileges taken away. The guy is 0 for his lifetime.
  5. 6:10. moved up because of the T wolves game.
  6. Not sure what happened there. I’m not sure Kreidler knew what he was doing. Looked like a straight steal which is not smart with a guy on third and 2 outs.
  7. Brooks with a great tag. Flashing the leather tonight.
  8. Obviously Wallner was a black hole but the Twins have plenty of those. Here would be an interesting query: where does the Twins infield rank for offensive production? Or worse yet, corner infield infield production?
  9. They might but as someone above said it would have to be soon. I’m still sticking with my 75 win prediction
  10. Really enjoying Molly in the booth. He says something when he has something to say. He is so knowledgeable. I think Cory is nervous at how much quiet there is as he seems to be talking more.
  11. Very well reasoned post. Being a big leaguer is really hard - I’ve always believed each of these guys is trying their best regardless of outcome. If they aren’t good enough that’s more on the FO for not finding better players. I will admit to getting frustrated when basic mental errors are made - it always amazes me that guys get to the bigs while making basic mental errors.
  12. The end of pitch to contact came from batters adjusting their launch angle to golf the sinkers out of the park. Pitchers responded to this with velocity up in the zone. Because it’s not common I think an Ober style pitcher can succeed but you really have to hit your spots.
  13. Another of the all bat, nothing else prospects we gathered frequently for a period of time. Even if he starts hitting he needs to be a DH.
  14. From memory, didn’t Royce sign under slot? I think we may have fell victim to Falvey is the smartest guy in the room syndrome.
  15. Forgot to add that Gray made two outstanding plays catching foul pops. Snarkily I will submit they were the two best defensive plays made by a Twins third baseman this year. For a low wattage pick up he’s been pretty good.
  16. Sim was obviously not sharp. It seems like his split is not the same or the league has figured it out. I have to say the Twins defense was putrid. Keaschall is not good in the field; in fact he’s really bad. He can’t throw and he has Julien like whiffs on routine plays. I’m kind of surprised as he is athletic enough but he is just not getting it done.
  17. I was hopeful Royce would bounce back this year as he cleaned up his swing but alas…. I still wish he would lower his hands and he still looks off balance on a lot of swings but I still think his main problem is his swing decision making. He seems slow to recognize what the incoming pitch is so he ends up late on the fastball and lunging on outside breaking balls. Perhaps that’s another way of saying his confidence is shot. If that’s the case mashing some AAA pitching might be the answer.
  18. I enjoy these articles. Always good to read about the farm.
