  1. agreed .,.the Tigers ..SMH.. this team just cant get the key hits ..cant score runs
  2. you have to score runs...Twins *&^%$## the bed at the plate. too often bats go silent..and they only score 2 - 3 runs or less. this staff is not built to only give up 3 runs at best. we need someone ..someone to step up and hit the #$%^ ball with RISP. unbelievable how this entire team has went into the tank
  3. manager cant do anything about a guy watching strike 3 with no outs and guys on 2nd and 3rd....3 guys striking out in a row after leadoff guy gets on...guys swinging at balls in the dirt ..after watching 2 fastballs right down the pike....guys trying to score from 3rd on balls hit right at 3B.... pitchers throwing 0-2 counts in the zone..and lastly ..a bullpen that throws meatballs and cant miss bats.. no lead is safe with that crew
  4. unbelievable that Twins are even in this tight situation...if they could hit the ball, pitch the ball, field the ball..and run the bases correctly they would be fine.. thats all.. hahahahahah
  5. bat him 8th or 9th for 1st few games ..and see if he can even make contact.
  6. way too many baserunning blunders by the players themselves this year..many have killed big innings ...and no 5 run lead is safe with our bullpenn.
  7. this team... just plain and simple ....can not hit ... starting pitching really isnt all that bad..but oh boy those relievers. Sad what has happened to Lewis, Jeffers, Miranda, Larnach and Wallner ..not a clutch player on this team at all..Julien still just flails away or lets strike 3 go by..and Lee just seems lost now. Castro has peaked also...OMG where did it all go ????
  8. IMO ..Kiersey will be a better replacement for Kepler next year..if they give him a chance.
  9. played SS myself for many years ..i know the drill... i think i'd still shy towards the 3rd base side whenever Duran is pitching ..that was a routing hopper
  10. why was Castro paying so far up the middle on those game winning RBI's. youve got a flame throwing Pitcherin Duran..and you think he's gonna pull something to the left side?? Castro should have been playing straight up position. i know he was trying to keep runner close to second..but he should have shifted back to his right when Duran started his motion to the plate. weak chopper got through that should have been out # 3. BUT...more so, Julien cost us this one..and the lack of hitting
  11. these base running blunders are happening way too often..guys getting thrown out at 2nd trying to stretch a single.....getting picked off....running on contact from 3rd and thrown out by a mile.... potential big innings are being wasted by little league mistakes
  12. kid doesnt deserve this bashing..only gave up 5 hits ..only got 3 runs for support... this team cannot expect the pitchers on this staff to go out there and only give up 2-3 runs a game. These guys gotta hit and score more ... they lost Sundays game after being up 4-0 most of the game ...couldnt add on and it cost them...and of course Alcala imploding ...whish was bound to happen sooner or later... he cant be trusted
  13. inexcusable to give up that double on a 0-2 count... insane how so many major league pitchers give up hard hit balls when ahead 0-2 in the count
  14. not Alcala related ..but, is anyone else frustrated/annoyed by the run on contact when we have runners at 3rd base. numerous times this year the runner is pegged out easily at home when the ball is hit to a drawn in infielder.. i know there would be an easy out at first..but , id still rather have the guy on 3rd base
  15. again ..as i've said before..Twins pitchers live in the middle of the plate too often.. dont seem to get a lot of swing and misses with chase pitches..so their pitches must be easy to pick up ..Our hitters swing often at pitches in the dirt or way outside ..or just watch perfect pitches down the middle go by like Julien and Wallner. I dont have any trust in Alcala..never have..or any reliever for that matter besides Duran
  16. still say bull...... pitch is supposed to be called as it crosses the plate..not where it hits catchers mit..
  17. Correa will be back soon .. Martin will be sent down.. Roster set then unless injuries... tough lineup decisions will have to be made...Castro will Prob be at 2nd, Larnach LF, Correa SS, Lewis 3B, Buxton CF, Santana 1B, Kepler Rf, Miranda DH, Jeffers C. Bench - Lee, Wallner, Margot, there will be Sept callups ..but no one that really helps..maybe Kiersey for speed on the pads.
  18. in last 15 games he is still K-ing .. 19 times in 44 ab'S... YES,the avg is very good ..but we already have enough KKings inthe lineup ..we needs guys King under 20%..then we'll have a ball team
  19. if we get Correa back..Lewis clickin ..and Miranda ..this Offense if fine.. it's the woeful Bullpen that is the problem.. only one i trust is Duran..and even he has been strugglin a bit. Jax, Thielbar, Alcala, Staumant, Okert etc can never be trusted
  20. agreed ...NO to all of these potential trade targets
  21. i see Dobnak in Twins future plans.. best plans would be a trade to a team that needs a # 5 starter due to injuries.. i just dont think he'd bring anything promising in return
  22. Just get Correa, Lewis and Miranda back..offense will start clickin again.. be great if we can get Lefty starter and lefty reliever..but dont sell the Farm
