  1. For those whose faith is in numbers, the fact the Twins lead the league in being shut-out should be large in their spread sheet minds.
  2. You like numbers, numbers are not fool proof.
  3. Yea, you have to score a LOT because your defense sucks, brilliant!
  4. Where does a player score most easily from; first, second or third on a long single/ To say it does not matter, by any one, is just plain silly.
  5. One because of poor base running and the other because the they were out of challenges. He is as close to a zero threat as a catcher can be at this point.
  6. Wasn't some thing similar said about Hicks, Rooker, Sano?
  7. We NEED his defense; do not know how good the rookies are, or may be, but for two years we have had a third, ss, second base combo that has saved the Twins from being worse than they were last year and help be as good as they are this year.
  8. Shows the failings of analytics.
  9. Catching is not outfield. I am amused by all the : Well the analytics show blah, blah, blah.
  10. Twins do not need adequate at SS, they need superior.
  11. Two years Rod Carew went against type and had double digit home runs; two of his best years, if only Arraez had stealing capability like Carew, Oliva and Tovar, he would be the direct successor to thier place in history.
  12. Same old, same old; too often the twins have taken a lead, often large and then played ball like a group of third string rookies.
  13. Fielding in the last game looked like the movie Major League.
  14. The lowly Royals (and Tigers) are lowly only if losing to them does not count.
  15. Yankees had 3 errors and only two more hits than the Twins and still won, what Duffey did is in your face but there are far more problems than that; some here dissed the homer happy Twins, right now if there were still here, thing would probably be different.
  16. They sent Sano to single A ball to get his mojo back, can they send Jeffers down that low?
  17. "Maybe Petriello looked at Urshela’s OAA profile before suggesting the issues, but it’s here that we see the numbers bear out belief. Urshela has generated -2 OAA when fielding a ball directly at him," This is where Simmons made the most errors last year, while making other impossible plays possible; maybe easy plays are too easy , therefore more likely to be errored on.
  18. Is it time to move on from Tyler Duffey? To whom or what? A crap-shoot rookie?
  19. On a live interview on WCCO radio, Buxton said he hates, anything but playing in the field every day, it ruins his timing ; Baldelli may be doing him more harm that good with his willy-nilly strategy.
  20. If they cut the Mustard, they will stay in the Big Show, if not they will become like Jake Cave, life time Minor League or be traded. Fielding is and has been for a long time more important to the Twins than the bat; none of the rookies have bedazzled with their gloves. If they cannot equal Donaldson/Simmon/Polanco -- Ushela/Correa/Polanco next year, this team will be, at best, back to the .500 + or - a few, of the Seventies until they bring in some top shelf vets as they did in 2019.
  21. The Twins need a regular line-up, where the same 8 guys play together at MINIMUM 70 percent of the time; they have turned into a advanced AAA team and will never get to the World Series doing that.
