  1. Catching is not outfield. I am amused by all the : Well the analytics show blah, blah, blah.
  2. Twins do not need adequate at SS, they need superior.
  3. Two years Rod Carew went against type and had double digit home runs; two of his best years, if only Arraez had stealing capability like Carew, Oliva and Tovar, he would be the direct successor to thier place in history.
  4. Same old, same old; too often the twins have taken a lead, often large and then played ball like a group of third string rookies.
  5. Fielding in the last game looked like the movie Major League.
  6. The lowly Royals (and Tigers) are lowly only if losing to them does not count.
  7. Yankees had 3 errors and only two more hits than the Twins and still won, what Duffey did is in your face but there are far more problems than that; some here dissed the homer happy Twins, right now if there were still here, thing would probably be different.
  8. They sent Sano to single A ball to get his mojo back, can they send Jeffers down that low?
  9. "Maybe Petriello looked at Urshela’s OAA profile before suggesting the issues, but it’s here that we see the numbers bear out belief. Urshela has generated -2 OAA when fielding a ball directly at him," This is where Simmons made the most errors last year, while making other impossible plays possible; maybe easy plays are too easy , therefore more likely to be errored on.
  10. Is it time to move on from Tyler Duffey? To whom or what? A crap-shoot rookie?
  11. On a live interview on WCCO radio, Buxton said he hates, anything but playing in the field every day, it ruins his timing ; Baldelli may be doing him more harm that good with his willy-nilly strategy.
  12. If they cut the Mustard, they will stay in the Big Show, if not they will become like Jake Cave, life time Minor League or be traded. Fielding is and has been for a long time more important to the Twins than the bat; none of the rookies have bedazzled with their gloves. If they cannot equal Donaldson/Simmon/Polanco -- Ushela/Correa/Polanco next year, this team will be, at best, back to the .500 + or - a few, of the Seventies until they bring in some top shelf vets as they did in 2019.
  13. The Twins need a regular line-up, where the same 8 guys play together at MINIMUM 70 percent of the time; they have turned into a advanced AAA team and will never get to the World Series doing that.
  14. If Buxton does not play against the Yankees, the Yankees chance of a sweep increase.
  15. How he does against the Yankees, hitting and fielding will say a lot.
  16. Good/ Bad or other wise but Jake Cave will probably be another Mike Hessman whose entire career will be mostly in the AAA minors. Maybe he can try to become the next all time Minor League home run hitter.
  17. Twins need a good glove, not a good bat, best glove wins, period.
  18. For good batters the umpire does not matter they will kearn to work the system; for not so good batters the ump. can be a life saver.
  19. Or something close to that, Twins defense has been a major failing too often; strong bats have not been lacking.
  20. IF he beats the Yankees, he is deserving; if not, same old, same old.
  21. His fielding skill need to improve vastly and the Majors is not where you do that; Twins have had a number of rookies who come up do well then fall on their face's batting.
