    And under the 3 million cap for a bullpen arm , I'm 1 for 1 so far ... He should help some , not what he once was , but good enough once in awhile ...

    Hello fan in NJ , Though they haven't completely come out and said anything substantial about the bullpen , my thought is they never spend on arms on the bullpen , so hopefully they are going with our in-house pitchers to fill the bullpen roster , it's a strength in our system right now ... I'm sure they will dumpster dive for a few arms but my preference would be to have our prospects fill it out , they're not going to spend more than 3 million on an arm , they've proved it for sometime now ... Could coloumbe come back ? , doubtful , Prielipp and Rojas are our lefthanders plus funderburk ... It's definitely a youth movement and hopefully the players play the kind of ball they played after the deadline , it was exciting but we are going to take our lumps and bumps ..

    Reported this morning on trade rumors... Twins traded for Tristan gray , infielder ... Late 20's with just a small sample of major league experience , another uninspiring move ... This is the norm for FO and company , nothing changes year after year...

    I can believe everything in this article ... Will Ober be healthy and pitch like he did before 2025 , one never knows ... Maybe someone should asks at twins fest if Ober will be 100 percent ...

    Hope they win the world series is everyones goal in spring training except for the twins ... lots of questions to be answered for sure ,pitching , hitting and defense ... pitching is a strength , FO and personal don't spend money on big arms , we are going in-house with our pitching to fill the bullpen, I could see Bradley and Festa as setup men and Matthew as the closer and if he fails , then Bradley ... There is also raya and Prielipp for depth but Prielipp could win a roster spot out of spring training ... Hitting is not improved but they really have nowhere to go but up , A new manager is going to spark some new enthusiasm in the players ( they should at least play harder and hungrier for a roster spot out of spring training ) and shelton should just tell falvey to BITE ME ... Our 3 options to back up shortstop does not impress , Kiner Falefa would have been my choice ... Comeback player of the twins is Lewis , Shelton reached out to him right away and Lewis now feels like he is wanted and loved so his performance will blossom this year , ( if falvey can live on hope , so can I ) ... Just way to many questions for this organization , thanks for a realistic subject Nick ....

    An honorable mention of viola , really , if it wasn't for sweet music and circle me Bert , no chance we would have won the 87 world series , viola MVP ... Viola a Cy young winner , honorable mention , give me a break ... Twins jim kaat pitched injured in the 65 world series , had kaat been healthy for game 7 , dodger players all say Twins would have won the 65 series ... Bert is by far the best right-hander that pitched for the twins , traded in 76 and came home in 86 and helped with 87 world series championship .... Kaat and Santana were definitely the best left-handers that pitched for the twins ... Where was campbell , good reliever , 4 years with twins before Calvin did his thing ... Tapani or even Erickson should have been at least an honorable mention ... Twins have had some good closers but the Vikings have had alot more good runningbacks ...

    It's definitely a mess to figure out what they are doing , for years we have had no depth at catcher or firstbase , now they are stuck completely on both positions without really addressing other areas , with the additions at catcher and firstbase who will be the starters is anyones guess right now ... I think jeffers will be traded along with a lefthanded outfielder ....

    I have to agree with nick , the bullpen hasn't been addressed so far this off season to fill the bullpen with quality arms ... My guess is they have finally accessed their pitching prospects to be better quality than the dumpster diving philosophy so they are going to add to the bullpen with in-house players , starters that don't make the rotation will get there innings in the bullpen and raya and Prielipp most definitely with their injury concerns need to be bullpen options ... We are building our bullpen with our pitching pipeline , that's how I see it because the pitching has been the only strength the team has showed for 3 seasons now ... Has anyone heard anything about Canterino ???

    I'd be happy if the league went back to having pitchers bat 🤣 ... something has to give , we can't keep adding and adding and not subtract some payroll , the only thing we're subtracting is the AAAA players from the 40 man roster ...

    It really doesn't matter what the fans think if caratini can catch half the games or not , it's what falvey thinks caratini can do and I'm sure falveyis jumping to a conclusion that he can replace ryan Jeffers ...

    Jeffers most likely the one to be traded in my opinion , if the front office is looking at the past 2 seasons of caratini as a hitter then they believe he is equal to jeffers on offense and we can trade jeffers for a return before he walks for nothing , salary is another reason jeffers is most likely traded ... What a dream team we are accumulating ...

    When falvey and Levine were a team , i really believed they thought they were the dream team ... I catch your drift on this being a dream team though , this team is not competitive enough to be contenders ...

    What has happened to the mentality of a relief pitcher .... Where are the goose gossages , mad Hungarian , the nasty boys and many more with a winning mentality , they did not want to lose and with that mentality they were a better player ... just like a batter if he gets 3 hits in ten at bats , he is a better player ...

    The underrated / overated system of prospects ... The system seems strong enough to strengthen pitching but they lack at strengthening a position players ability to hit and field at the major league level .. Cody mentioned that development shouldn't stop at the major league level and I agree , there are adjustments to be made at the highest level but we haven't been able to tap into that to get over that hump from AAA to the majors on the position side of our lineup , we are failing at producing hitters and failing to develop fielding ... Pitching has been strong for 3 seasons now but hitting has gone in the other direction ...

    Contenders or pretenders , that is and has been the question for quite sometime with the pohlads as owners ... Twice they have slapped us hard in the face in recent years , right sizing payroll for 2024 and deadline trades of bullpen arms in 2025 ... I understand keeping Ryan and Buxton but really expected them to be traded because their value has never been higher , Lopez too .... Stumble at the start , the twins play in Florida in nice weather in spring training and come north to a colder climate and have so it seems gotten off to slow starts due to the shock of colder elements ... This is a poorly run organization , never addressing the proper issues for this team to succeed , it's lost it's way with defense and proper offensive ... Hopefully our new coaches will emphasize how important it is to the players ,we need a cleaner game of baseball ... So coaches do your magic and emphasize that we need to play better exciting baseball , and please keep falvey away from the dugout ...

    To answer your question, How well has the twins navigated the international draft ... When falvey and Levine cleaned house and hired all their people , falvey quoted ( we have filled every position within the organization with the top professionals ) , so one would believe they have the right personal doing their job , one would think ..

    Zebulon has promise , he should try either moving over on the rubber and definitely should pitch high out of the zone and get batters to chase , worked for rocket roger clemens ...

    And falvey and company hasn't made damn sure they are ready to contribute before a debut ... Sorry I couldn't resist the temptation to slam falvey and company , they are probably watching Moneyball and trying to figure out how all these statistics really can work with no strategy ...

    Wow , how often does a salary go down , even players that are injured and don't play a season usually re-sign in arbitration for the same salary ... I believe shelton could be an inspiration for Lewis , Lewis just didn't seem too like playing for Rocco , I still believe Lewis will be a fine player, hopefully with the Twins ...

    Maybe the pohlads and FO personal watch the movie Major League everyday at Twins Way and pretend to be Rachel Phelps ( owner of the Cleveland Indians ) , she was intent on adding the worst talented team so she coukd relocate ... Maybe riverbrian and me should go check this out 🤣 ...

    I'd play darts with falvey everyday , he can never hit the bullseye, infact he can barely hit the board .... He did hit the board on the 3 free agents last year , coloumbe , Bader and to some extent France , but it took him almost ten years to do it ... Billy beane he is not ...

    I'd stick to that story also but I would include with these 4 acquisitions that need help , Beauregard should just resign now instead of getting fired , it's a no win situation for Beauregard and the organization to bring in players that are worse than our DFA'd players . . .

    The way this FO has been operating the past few off seasons , I don’t think anyone is even awake at there desk , why would anyone call them when supposedly Lopez, Ryan, buxton are not going to be traded ...
