  1. Sam , we still have 2 plus weeks before the deadline , I'm not thinking of the deadline acquisitions until we get over 500 and beyond consistently ... The twins will be selling , Jeffers and Larnach can be shipped out and not hurt our chances of staying around the 500 mark ... As for buying , someone needs to get in the door at 1 twins way and get a feel for their plan ... Tom needs to make his pitch to the fans before the deadline , not after the deadline ... As far as runs go , twins are leading with most runs scored is kind of a blurred stat because of some high scoring games , take them away and how many average runs per game we would have ...
  2. From the scouting reports .... If he is as good as the reports are hyping , he'll need some fine tuning and development in pro ball , starting with high A this year and again starting in 2027 and move quickly up to AA to AAA and debut in 2028 ... First he has to be signed , the twins will be paying alot of bonus money to find out , get him signed quickly ( NOW ) and playing as many games to finish out the season to get acclimated to pro ball ... I hope the hype and scouting are correct and if they are a 2028 debut is very possible if all goes well ...
  3. My biggest surprise that the twins are so so SO SO close to 500 mark at the all star break ... As a player on defense and offense Kody Clemens has been a great surprise ... Pitching Bradley has been a surprise from what we saw last August and September ... Honorable mention , larnach has a good offense going this season ... Caratini and Jackson filled in nicely for the injured jeffers , before the jeffers injury I thought they were just so so , they stepped up their opportunity ...
  4. First the twins need to sign him, once signed get him in high A pro ball , AA and AAA in 2027 , promote fast , college player shouldn't take long with the tools everyone is hyping on ... I'm sorry to say but with the imminent strike or MLB lock out for 2027 , Jenkins and Culpepper are not going to be added to 40 man roster or promoted in 2026 , if they do that these 2 players will sit during the strike and they need to keep honing their talent in the minors until the strike has ended and then promote them to the major leagues ... Lackey with his tools and a fast riser should make his debut in 2028 along with Houston ... Because Lackey is a catcher and come through the system fast , elite catchers are hard to come by , they are or should be in control of the entire field when on the field ... If he signs I would rank him #1 ...
  5. These players that have once played for Detroit have been good at defense , Clemens, Kreidler and even Castro who is with Rockies now ... Did I miss anyone???
  6. I was traveling and when I heard on the radio the 3 draft choice the twins made I had to make sure i heard that right , I went to draft tracker and yep I heard it right , we drafted a second catcher in round 2 , it was a head scratcher to say the least ... Tinney most likely will start in rookie ball as catcher where lackey the more polished catcher will start in A÷ , I've read Tinney's profile and he doesn't sound like a 2nd round pick to me , the tools are weak except for raw power ... Hope they have done better with the comp pick , 3rd and 4th round selections ... Develop him right and maybe he is the one that gets traded ... We've been wanting catching in our system for years and now we have 2 more added to Tait and Jimenez ... It's a head scratcher but I guess the FO finally gave us fans what we wanted more catching ...
  7. Eleven angels left on base , id say that's a good thing ... Twins win today , Taj goes tomorrow ...
  8. not everything has gone right either sam ... we have lost a few more than we have won up till now , struggling to get over that 500 hump ... Gomez and Morris have done alright , Gomez has walked 10 batters already in less than 30 innings ... I remember when a starting pitcher went the whole season with less than 10 walks ... our bullpen has to stop walking batters and stop walking the leadoff hitter of the inning ... Get pitchers that can get hitters out that's there job ...
  9. They were flat at the bottom and flat at the top and in the middle there was no air ... A no Pressure game and we fail against a bad team .... We got them today, never easy for them but they got the win 5-3 ...
  10. Call all you want , we are not a good enough team yet to consistently walk off games with a win that is ...
  11. They can send a player down 4 times don't they know ,he's got to learn to lay off that crap outside and low or at least show he's trying to hit it to rightfield ...
  12. Peter wake up , the twins are battling back , down a run ...
  13. I know some aren't going to like this but with the trade deadline coming up , we need to keep Bell's bat in lineup for the remainder of the season to stay some what competitive ... FO has some trades to make at deadline and the 2 obvious ones won't hurt the team if traded ( Larnach and Jeffers) ... Get buxton healthy and we'll be fine ..
  14. He's still on the right side of the green grass !!!
  15. How many first pitch homers has zebby allowed , is there a stat somewhere for that ??
  16. I concur , my thoughts exactly when I read the headline ... Have they figured out any kind of plan , we really haven't had any inclination to a plan other than trading assets for prospects for restructuring as they put it , it's really a rebuild and it is showing some good signs with better baseball this year ...
  17. With all the Injuries to our starters this year the answer is quite obvious Bradley ... No one liked all the deadline trades last season especially the trades of team controlled players , but trading a bullpen arm for a starter is a no brainer , Duran for Abel and Tait , Jax for Bradley etc. ...
  18. Sorry sam , we can get along fine without Ryan Jeffers , caratini and Jackson have and will fill in for Jeffers absence ... Trade Jeffers for some value , preferably a player or two that is MLB ready ... We can be sellers at this deadline with a few players and it won't hurt us going forward , we can also be buyers but I'm pretty sure that is not in their plans ...
  19. So close 🤏 to 500 but no cigar , wasn't meant to be today as our players ( offense and bullpen ) , there was plus and minus in todays game ( ober threw 5 inning , the offense didnt wake up )... Good winning series , now the angels next at home , lets have 3 good games and relax through the allstar break ... I am enjoying the twins games ( after the past few years of brutal baseball ) Lots of negativity on the twins daily and game threads , you just cant please everyone ( i know its because of the veterans that are past their prime , but the team is making changes and we'll see who has promise for next year ), Did i say I am enjoying the twins games this season more than the past few years ... The team is playing good and winning their share and better than most expected ( thats improvement and good enough for me ) , but if they get into the playoffs , I'm sorry , it will be a 1 and done series going up against better pitching and better offenses ... More than Half the season has been played , in Minnesota it's always wait till next year , if we continue to play good baseball the remainder of the season , then my expectations will be much higher next season ... For now I'm just going to watch the twins keep trying to improve and see who fits into their plans for 2027 ...
  20. Still have 9 outs , going to need them all as we walk it off in the bottom of the ninth ... Heard it hear first , sport fans ...
  21. The twins haven't swept Cleveland since 2020 , it would a great day to break the streak , I'm knocking on wood ...
  22. Kind of a nit pik , falvey didn't leave after the season , he left right before 2026 season and good riddance , baldelli got fired right after the season and good riddance ... Clemens was just a depth player to add for keaschalls injury , most likely they never expected anything more than defense ... Clemens was productive right away and they found at bats and positions for him to play , he eventually cooled down but had some game changing moments ... Kody this year has been given regular playing time at multiple positions and is making the most of his opportunity ... Nice for Kody , maybe he's a late bloomer and can carve out some good years , nobody on earth knows ...
  23. Sizemore is a god send , choosing coaches that can teach is difficult , Falvey and baldelli seemed to think that AAA was all the development they needed and players weren't successful in playing quality baseball at the mlb level , players are taking a big step from level to level and need good coaching for success , Sizemore is acheving results more than any coach under Falvey and baldelli in my opinion ... He was a great player that had a short career due to injuries ... We have a keeper in Sizemore ...
