    Im thankful for the Twins and vikings weren't playing today to ruin our Thanksgiving day ... I would be more thankful if we had new owners and FO personal ... Or at least a plan going forward a month after baseball was completed , the total system failure continues ... Im stuffed and need to go for a walk ...

    We have had a mess on the 40 man roster for quite sometime , with 2023 an unusual exception ... We have wanted righthanded hitting outfielders and really just have Martin , we traded for Margot , signed gallo , and a few other dumpster diving players i can't recall their names ... we have needed a first baseman for years since mauer retired , arraez did have a few years there but coukd hit homeruns so traded and we have only signed one year rentals since ... We had at one time an abundance of second baseman's , what has happened , they have either regressed or were traded , keaschall for now is out second baseman .... Now we need a more up the middle shortstop for better defense , Correa was given away ( if you want to say traded , thats okay too ) ... Third base is manned by Lewis for 2026 ... Utility , Gonzales was very good , Castro capable but now we are regressing in that area to allow players some rest ... Find a permanent position for each player and let them play there , utility players are the ones that should be at least capable of playing other positions ... Im not even going to mention our pitching staff of starters and bullpen arms other to say some of our starters could be traded for payroll relief this winter and we have a mess in the bullpen because we traded off our best and with years of control at the deadline and really got nothing back that was major league ready other than the Tampa Bay pitcher and the Phillies pitcher , Roden and Outman haven't proved a thing yet , did i miss anyone from the deadline trades that debuted with the twins after the deadline ...

    Interesting discussion and enjoyed the analysis ... Prospects are usually traded early in their professional career for positions of need for a team , not usually Prospects for Prospects , the sonny gray and chase petty is a good example , sonny had good years for twins , chase hasn't established himself yet , it was a good trade for the twins Or it Could be It's always the other guys fault 🤣 ...

    Agree , take that contract on but get Atlanta to pay down on the salary , won't happen though but a very good take on Murphy , also white Sox and Brewers both have two solid catchers each to try and pry away with lower salaries but higher trade value ...

    Does adding jackson really solidify our catching , I'm not so sure , jackson could be traded just like kiner Falefa was a day after we acquired him ... Catcher is a position of need and I don't think he will be given an extension , it would have been done way before this season if they had any intention of keeping us from this bad catchers situation , organization is very telling , it wants to win with a lesser payroll like Cleveland has been doing ... Still lots of off season left , winter meetings in a few weeks hopefully we will be given a direction they have planned ... HOPEFULLY ...

    Frustration , Frustration and more Frustration ... The owners are still the voice of the team and the minority owners should have no reflection on the direction the organization should go ... Excuses , excuses and more excuses ... Falvey says he wants to add , that maybe so but if he does add it will be cheap minor league deals with maybe a average player from free agency , thats all I can speculate ... Crazy how ownership can not know what the payroll can be , they know , it's more purging and trading away salaries of Lopez, Ryan , jeffers and Buxton , this is just speculation on my part because I'm not in the loop , it's because of what they have done to this organization of the years they have owned it ... The pohlads are the cause along with FO that we are in a total system failure and they have no respect for the fans ... I wish I could be thankful on Thanksgiving for a organization ( twins ) that has pride and wants to win , ( NOT ) ...

    Great bonus for keaschall , as others have said , he was one of the few highlights of the team ... He's a fun player to watch and hope it continues , he dreams baseball every waking minute ...

    On the fringes of contention , come on Cody , I wish i could be that positive , and as far as depth we have Culpepper and the 2025 draft choice highly likely to stick at the shortstop position , SO I'VE HEARD ... I don't expect the team to be contenders in 2026 , I would like them to play more exciting games win or lose .... We play more of an exciting game in 2026 with better fundamentals , defense and consistent hitting and I would be very comfortable with that in 2026 ....

    The blues brothers to the rescue , I'm in town till Friday but I'm sure they are closed for Thanksgiving holidays ... Busy packing thinks up , I sold my home west of the cities , will take another load up to lake home on Friday and be back next Wednesday for a few days again ... I'll go if it works for you , I'll behave , it could be fun , anyone else that wants to join us , they'd have a harder time escorting us out of the building ... Let's go twins diehards , time to demand some straight answers ...

    I've decided to go younger and I posted it in another thread about raya and Prielipp this morning ... And I got a thumbs down , imagine that ... Why am I going younger , Because the organization hasn't given us any direction on what direction we are going and I still believe trades are coming ( Lopez , Ryan , jeffers and then buxton if he opts out , be nice to keep Lopez to pass along his knowledge of pitching , Hawkins is here to help with that , trade lopez at deadline after half a season of mentoring ) ... I'm done with the speculating and wasting my time of who we should sign and who we shouldn't at least until we know the direction , it's out of my hands unless ( riverbrian and me ) go down to twins way and ask someone of authority what direction is the TWINS WAY ...

    Agreed , a change of scenery is what larnach needs and he would definitely benefit in a hitters ballpark ... Steer has better speed , plays a position of need for us and more has more versatility , Steer is a gamer and could have a couple of good seasons here as a twin , hits right handed ... This probably would be a trade that makes sense for both clubs ... Will it happen , probably not ...

    I've gotten to the point that rather than signing other teams players that are just mediocre , let's just sit back and let our young players play the game ... New manager , young players and maybe we'll have some exciting games , we are loaded with talent ( supposedly ) , let's prove that we have that talent ... Remind the players that are on the 40 man roster that there are others in the organization that are competing to take away their position and have some real competition, there's no competition if we just keep hoarding these prospects ... Let the kids play that earn it , play your best players on the mlb roster , stop with the mediocre players ... Know when to hold them and know when to fold them would help this FO immensely , it should definitely be FALVEY'S last chance , he's a terrible gambler and if he fails again and is not fired , he definitely has ownership hoodwinked ... hire Bo Jackson , BO KNOWS BASEBALL ...

    We have openings and we have starting pitchers that aren't going to open the season as a 1 thru 5 starter , add them to the bullpen and use them correctly out of the bullpen and if injuries develop slide them back into rotation ( Hawkins will nurse them through the transition )... Let's let our homegrown players play , raya and Prielipp in the pen , I think we have enough of our own to fill this bullpen up ... For depth , sign a bunch of minor league contracts , let's see our hyped up pipeline pitch , sink or swim it's got to be more exciting than the last 2 months of 2025 ... We have nothing to lose ... Canterino is out there somewhere , hows he coming along ....

    I sure like your optimism on your choices of pitchers to sign that you believe are good enough to play for the Twins because we have pitching coaches to help them , not crazy about Hamilton but lefties are sure worth taking a flier on ... Now go sell it to falvey

    So hard to out guess what falvey will do ... Larnach was expected by the fans and by mlb experts to be non tendered and here is for now , tendered and slotted into playing corner outfield positions and DH ...

    And I t seems like he is always over paying for these types , as some say 1.8 million for a hitter that bats 150 , Gasper i wouldn't even pay the minimum but you have too ...

    No thanks , I hope back quite a few years when they played more exciting baseball , like Benny tripping over 2nd base and still cruised in with a triple ... That is 1 highlight I will never forget ...

    Wouldn't you think they could DFA some our AAAA players on the 40 man roster to open up a roster spot for rule 5 draft ... Pohlads must of told them , no more spending .

    Still a 40 man roster as understand it , but I don't really understand it ... If larnach is still here come the end of spring training I'll be surprised , he could be traded or he will play , the others you mentioned will be given some time in the big leagues when injuries occur and optioned back and forth , will they ever give their prospects a true shot at playing this game , they haven't been to committed to going young but they definitely are committed to going cheap once again ... I'll keep reading and see what they signed all the eligible players for ...

    There are lots of players that should be DFA'd , I know some like Gasper , he's still on the 40 man roster and we are closing in on 3:00 deadline ... Keirsey Jr was DFA'd and hope his luck turns with another organization , I'm waiting on the 3:00 deadline to see if im surprised or not ...

    Well the back up catcher has been addressed and the cost was a pesky hitter from AAA , jackson is just another acquisition of hope by falvey , potential but unproven in the major leagues , power , defense questionable and strikes out a plenty ... We need hitters that hit in the major leagues , not hope to hit ... Another Gasper trade that the hope hasn't panned out on ...

    Thanks doc , always appreciate thinking outside the box and being ahead of the next guy ... No one can convince falvey to do so , even when the answer is right in front of him on a daily basis that something isn't right on this team , maybe these coaching changes will help in 2026 ...
