  1. A good start , could be ... He pitched mostly in low leverage situations but had success there ... He pitched against the twins twice , he didn't pitch against Pittsburgh so shelton has no influence on this trade , its completely a falvey move ... Making the lineup out of spring training would be a good start , a depth piece in AAA , he has options ...
  2. Every player is tradable if you have another talent to replace them , we don't ... Pitching is our strength but that even dwindled at the deadline ... With a new manager and some new coaches , there is reason to be alittle optimistic on some of the 6 through 10 players having better seasons in 2026 if falvey stays out of the way and let's the coaches coach ... We got to find a way to relax these players and have them produce in the clutch , it seemed like under our previous manager they were always walking on egg shells in these situations ... If wallner is to be considered a game changer he is going to have to hit more 3 run homers , the solo homeruns don't cut it ( sure hope he is working on something this off season to be better at the plate when he DH's everyday , he lacks confidence as a hitter and it shows in his face and reactions to the pitches )
  3. I was going to comment on those 2 paragraphs too ... Rutschman is a very good defensive catcher and probably the best catcher at leading the club on the field , did injuries dampen his offense in 2025 , sorta , maybe , probably ... Baltimore wants major league players in return , the twins should want the same if they are trading either of Lopez or ryan , , if we are trading for Rutschman , we can also include jeffers to Baltimore for their 2nd catcher and larnach but would prefer wallner , Baltimore's outfield was kind of deflated after the deadline ... Baltimore would have to increase their offer significantly to obtain a high commodity solid starting pitcher , what their offer would be after Rutschman I wouldnt know , I'm not familiar with Baltimore's system , but mountcastle and mayo ... One of Lopez or ryan , or both will be dealt this offseason and our experts better get players in return that can play this game , major or major league ready players ...
  4. I'm glad the change has finally come , shaken not stirred ...
  5. Im happy for Clemens that a team is finally given him a extended look and playing time , he did generate some positivity early in the season when acquired but it wasn't sustainable... He had some big at bats and won some games for us , his defense and his versatility was good in rightfield , 2nd base and 1st base ... Roll with Kody to start the season and see if he put in the work in the off season to build up his stamina , it's a long season to stay 100 percent healthy ... He seems to like playing for the Twins and I'm sure he appreciated the opportunity he got with the club , hope last year's opportunity and his appreciation of playing more with the twins than any other club will reap rewards for him and the twins ...
  6. I too agree that Lewis is on his way back , after the deadline trades his game got better , not great but he was working in the right direction on improving his game ... As mentioned in the article , coaches are gone and a few players were traded , will this lead to a more happier environment for royce , royce possibly could have had animosity towards the coaches and a player or two ( we'll never know for sure ) and if it did i can see his frustration , but he should have continued to play his game for a better payday in arbitration , he shouldn't have let it get to him for the love of the game and play his game that he is capable of , something wasn't clicking for him but this offseason he could get back that optimism ( positive attitude ) and everything will click for 2026 ... We as fans showed alot of frustration towards Rocco and the coaching , I personally would never have liked playing for this organization and their philosophy , ( now back in my day i would have loved playing with killer , tony O and carew , and even for Mr cheap Calvin Griffin ) because it was baseball at its purist form ... I've stated many times since 2021 that there has been players that are not happy playing for this organization ... Im to old to play so I watch , let's hope and I'm not worried about Lewis because I believe better days are ahead for royce , it should only reflect a positive atmosphere that manager and coaches have been changed ...
  7. I can't believe Lopez value is as low as some are stating , injury and salary aside he is a solid pitcher that twins fans once thought was our number one guy , a stopper .... Pitching is what every team is looking for ... Pablo has value if traded , teams will look beyond his injuries to a certain extent ( check medical records ), and look at his past performances when healthy ... They do the same in free agency , they throw money out to a player on his past performances and gamble on his future , Pablo has 2 years remaining on contract and possibly a 3rd if qualified offer is considered ...⁰ Does he have the same value as Ryan , thats not up to me to decided , other teams will decide his value or falvey will just dump him for salary relief and get nothing , see Correa deadline trades ... Our top players as of now are Buxton , Lopez, Ryan , ( keaschall , SSS ) and Jeffers , don't underestimate their value ... Im just glad Lopez wasn't traded at last year's deadline because he was injured ( and you all know lopez would have been moved ) , cause falvey was dumping salaries for buckets of balls and bats , he has more value now as other teams want to stabilize their pitching rotations , will he have more value at next year's deadline if healthy maybe so ... Pitchers have injuries , Lopez and Ryan are no different , Lopez has been more durable when healthy through a full season , Ryan has had good first halves only to tire down the stretch in second half in a healthy season ...
  8. We all know that the front office is going to be very busy adding depth with minor league contracts ... On your list of minor league deals i would select Justin Yeager at 27 and no experience with a major league club , my experience he would be more coach able and succeed at the major league level than the ones that had a cup of coffee ... What do we have to lose on a minor league contract ... Im sure we will find a couple of veterans and sign them that could fetch between 1 and 3 million that won't be much better than the minor league contracts ...
  9. I didn't see them in 2025 after the deadline trades either , no auditioning for our in-house candidates prospects .... We filled the bullpen with nobody's that wouldn't be on the club in 2026 , fans were screaming , what do we have to lose , let's play our pitching pipeline and see what candidates we might look forward to staying with the 2026 club .... Now we are going about this rebuilding the bullpen blind , Falvey's hope can't inspire hope ... But i look forward to all the hype our prospects have been given and I'd like that hype to be real ... Go twins ...
  10. A change of scenery could help if falvey stays out of the way and let's the manager and coaches do their thing ... Main objective is to play better ball , Rocco is gone and if falvey stays out of the game i think better ball can be accomplished ... That's as positive as I can get right now , only positive that came out of 2025 season for now was keaschall playing for the love of the game and Rocco getting fired ...
  11. The front office is not going to change in buying expensive bullpen arms , they won't spend more than 3 million for an arm .... Roger's, stanek and Romano , Romano would be my guess at 1 million to try and reestablish himself , he's probably a good fit for them to gamble on .... So if they can find someone for 1 to 3 million to gamble on that would be my guess of their plan ... By the way it's illegal to gamble in baseball ...
  12. Walt Hriniak was a good one , he's 82 , what's age have to do with it if he can think and walk ... white Sox in the early 80's
  13. Agreed , the twins have a surplus of outfielders to possibly trade , there are plenty of outfielders that are better than our players in free agency that only cost money and not prospects , Martin who can hit some , run some and plays leftfield i would keep ... The rest that played in 2025 are not going to return much in value unless some team is looking for a permanent DH ...
  14. How do you have a plan when the ownership is still telling you to reduce payroll ... If I was falvey , I would want to keep my self respect and walk away from this organization , because the longer he stays the worse it gets and no organization will hire him for the same position if he continues to bomb us into oblivion... Deadline trades brought back a couple of close major leaguers ( roden , Outman ) , but mostly prospects unable to help finish out the 2025 season , we have a ton of prospects and we continue to not call up a hot bat when we have nothing to lose , alot of them thrive in the minors only to rot and not be given a chance at a major league level , our FO and scouts make poor assessments , you put your best team on the field , take a chance on some that are not a high prospect , let them decide their fate ... Stop the hoarding and give everyone a chance and stop playing players that should have been sent packing , and play the hot hand , something has got to stick if you keep trying different players from AA or AAA , I'm not sure falvey has ever brought up anyone from AA , Polanco could be the last player I recall hitting the big from AA ... Baseball is a win / lose proposition ...
  15. We see development in the minors leagues , what we haven't seen is enough development at the hardest level of the game ( major leagues ) ... Our organization needs to wake up and continue to develop the talent they have and take that talent to the next level at the major leagues so they produce and contribute to a winning environment ...
  16. Im not going to blame Byron Buxton if he opts out of his no trade clause if ownership continues to rip apart the roster further .... Everyone wants to be a winner , players , fans and most organization but not our organization ... We will get a nice page in the Tribune by Buxton thanking the twins fans for our support ... Players ( especially veterans ) haven't been happy here since 2021 , I hope shelton can bring some happiness to the player's and they play to their full potential , I could name names but we know who they are ...
  17. Boy i get to slam Rocco again , I thought these days were over ... Rocco led the team to 3 post seasons is misleading , 2019 his first year and even though he received manger of the year award , it wasn't deserving because he didn't lead the team to the post season , the players had career years and a juiced ball ... It was a great season of baseball by the players but it was a mirage of Rocco's capability , he managed poorly in the 2019 playoffs and then again in the 2020 playoffs ... I stopped very early watching or listening to pre and post game reports in Rocco's tenure and I lost any respect i had for him when he said he didn't care if the fans liked or disliked the way he managed ... If Shelton can bring some humor back into our game , I welcome it ...
  18. For once I agree with a Cody Christie's write up ... Versatility is the FO's mo so this makes sense for the organization , but when has our FO ever made sense in regards to constructing a roster ... Im okay with trading jeffers ...
  19. A great player before the injuries shortened his career ... Hes hired for outfield and base running coach , let's hope he can help some of our players improve on defense , ( better reads on trajectory and throwing to the right base ) ... A positive hire that has some major league experience at managing , must have a good head on his shoulders ... Glad to have him ...
  20. I appreciate these articles on our players but this year hasn't been all that impressive ... Winokur plays alot more outfield for our minors leagues but is playing shortstop most exclusively so it seems in the AFL , amick isn't getting much of an opportunity and is stuck in a rut they don't seem interested in letting him work through it , Mendez' started first week was good but then the personal reasons for leaving the AFL and then boadas is working in strengthening his arm with work after Tommy John surgery and showing some good and some not so good results ( walks ) , the others aren't getting much of an opportunity ... Not much baseball left in the AFL but the playoffs are coming for all teams and as alot of fans say , anything can happen ...
  21. Twins will lose players in this years rule 5 draft , regarded as a strong field of prospects, teams are doing there diligence on our prospects ... One thing I believe Seth forgot to mention in the rule 5 is if we lose a player we can add back to the list a player to be protected unless that has changed ...
  22. The splitter also known as the fork ball decades ago for the younger fans that might not have known ....
  23. Billy Beane really doesn't belong here , he was a Mets prospect that failed to develop him and claimed or traded to Minnesota , Detroit and Oakland .... We as fans continue to say , if we are going to amount to anything we must develop our players ... Nothing to inspiring in this write up but we had other players that faired well , kubel , cuddyer , hunter , Morneau , koskie , radke , viola and more ...
  24. Must of heard good things about hawk that you approve of ... Hawk will be fine ...
