Game to start soon .... Looking at today's box score along with someone posting on TD or twins game thread that the players are playing for personal pride and a job for 2026 .... Boy it's hard to see from box score and I watched the game today , hans solo Ryan and his experiment wasn't good , players swinging freely at pitches down and off the plate and even some high one they couldn't catch up to , IT WAS TERRIBLE BATTING PRACTICE DURING THE GAME ... Keaschall and Martin get the 3 hits between them ... We got to do better , we sold at deadline but so did other teams and the other teams seem to be doing better with their new faces , and either holding their own or actually some are back in the wild card race , twins got hardly anyone in return that was major league ready to step in and help ... We need Ober to be sharp for 6 innings and cross out fingers on the bullpen ... Shortround , what's the question of the game ???

Wiĺ it be worth watching , I guess it have to give it a try ... This team has so many lows and very few highs ... Played the Yankees tough and just come out flat against Cleveland....

But the twins hitters are crap , they still should muster a few more hits at least off cecconi .,. I wish we had some cy young type pitchers , twins need a left handed starter to break up the all right handed staff .,

Can't get hits but the strikeouts are adding up ... Pathetic swinging at crapp they can't hit , what happened to our scouting reports , they aren't working ... Oh that's right , scouting is coming from the wiz kid , he can do it all don't you know ...

Martin didn't read the flight of the ball and the right fielder decoyed him into thinking it was going to be caught .... Just another Baserunning blunder , but he did come into score eventually ...

Twins had No fight tonight to play spoiler against Cleveland now just 2 1/2 games behind Detroit for the division ... Twins played the Yankees tough and gave us some excitement by scoring runs ... Tonight we reverted back to our dull way of baseball ... Why can't Rocco motivate his players to play consistent baseball , we were in this game until the eighth inning and our bullpen gave up 2 runs in each of the last 2 innings to sink us ...

From this era I wouldn't spend on souvenirs but at flea markets I find some nice old memorabilia from the 60's and 70's ... I won't buy tickets to see a game until it's sold but I will take gifts ...

Well it wasn't a Cleveland 1 run win , twins not competitive to start the series , rusty from a day off ... Back to the norm , game sucked ... No where near as the Yankees series ...

We are out hitting Cleveland so pitching is holding .... Twins aren't as hungry as the Yankee series , don't they know they could play spoiler if they beat Cleveland ...

Dang , you beat me to it .... It's the obvious answer , no other answer will do .... Also wallner right oblique on IL list , Keirsey Jr brought up , would have been a good time for some enthusiasm and bring up fedko for last nine games , but he wasn't on 40 man roster , why not dfa someone from the roster and add him , What a crock , the moves they make just to antagonize the fans ...

Injuries weren't the main culprit , as posted by riverbrian , 7 out of 10 teams with the most injuries are playoff bound , I have to agree that injuries weren't the problem , 1 problem was depth and the number one problem is ... I wish you Cody could have the guts to say the real problem is our field manger and his coaches , FO's incompetence doesn't help .... I've stated many times since FO and Rocco have been in place that we will never win and so far they have proven me right that the organization is a dysfunctional organization ... They don't play baseball the way baseball should be played, the players are failing at the major league level because they don't take the talent that has earned promotion ( or in our case promoted to soon ) , these players need to be taught again and again at the hardest level of baseball for the player and team to succeed , take te talent and make that talent better , I just don't see that happening with our organization , some of our traded players at the deadline are thriving with their new teams atmosphere .. We need a better atmosphere and better coaching at the major league level , I don't blame the minor leagues development , I blame the twins level of development in the MLB ... THE EYE TEST DOESN'T LIE ....

Gene was definitely a strategic manager , he didn't have the best talent while here so he had to play small ball baseball for runs , intelligent as was kelly ... Tom kelly won 2 world series 87 and 91 as you know so people are placing him number 1 and it's a good argument , there is no argument on who is closet to the worst , Rocco may have a winning record now but next year in 2026 with over a 100 losses he may not , I'll have to look his record up and the winner is 517 wins and 494 losses for a 511 winning percentage .... Rocco will be on the losing side of 500 if they do retain him for 2026 , is the wiz kid going to allow this to happen to his good buddy ...

I too struggle with international pitchers who have made the major league club , there's got to be some relief pitchers that had a taste but I can't think of any ... Does berrios count out of Puerto Rico , taken in the draft ??? ....
