  1. Put a rainbow on it and you've covered all your bases.
  2. I didn't even realize the Twins were no longer a wild card team anymore. I just assumed they were since everyone gets a trophy.
  3. What makes people believe he will take the "Finnegan" route? Other fast track Twins pitchers in the past have been Gutierrez, Wimmers, Burdi. None of them have made it to the big leagues and the guy they stated could be on the roster immediately is out of baseball (to my knowledge). I do not have any faith that this organization knows how to construct or utilize a pitching staff.
  4. I want Fulmer, Funkhouser, Russell in that order. I'm expecting Jay, Tucker, or Allard.
  5. Funkhauser was the guy I wanted going into the season. Unfortunately he has not been good the past month. We draft too high to pick him in the first but I don't see him lasting until our second pick. I think he'll end up having a Lackey-like career.
  6. Dear ****ing Christ, what did we do to deserve Dick and Hudler?
  7. The Twins don't brawl. They are too listless.
  8. Coming up on Twins Live "Duffy Outduels May"...
  9. Smith actually acquired players to help the Twins win rather than always trading for the future. Pavano, Cabrera, Fuentes, Rauch were all keys in making the postseason. Signing Hudson, Thome, and acquiring Hardy were good moves. I think he was backed into a corner by Ryan up and quitting on the Hunter and Santana deals. Trading Garza and Bartlett for Young didn't work out but Young was the type of young hitter everyone had been clamoring about forever. It's a shame it didn't work out. In the end the only thing I really blame him for is Ramos for Capps and really that doesn't make that big a difference as Ramos has not exactly been the second coming of Johnny Bench.
  10. Hunter bringing leadership as he completely manufactured that run.
  11. Strict 100 pitch limit remains intact as Molly removes Milone with a two hitter at exactly the century mark.
  12. I doubt Mauer will be able to stay healthy anyway so his slash line is irrelevant.
  13. Why? If they can assess our roster in that time frame I can assess our manager in the exact same time frame. I don't believe for a second that Ryan would ever go against his comfort zone and bring in a new voice. I think Molitor is a different voice, but not a new one. I just want the "Twins way" mantra to disappear forever.
  14. It's around 12 because we are opening up with guys like Milone and will likely give spot starts to Pelfrey and Darnell. We could cut that number down to (gasp) 8 or 9 if we'd just start with May and/or Meyer and not have to deal with Pelfrey and Milone at all.
  15. I didn't. It's the reason he was given the job in the first place.
  16. Terry Ryan continues to make roster moves in the exact opposite way that makes sense for a team in this position.
  17. Twins could shorten their game times by getting people out and not making five pitching changes per game to do so.
