  1. Buxton only walked twice that at bat.... oh wait.... he swung at them. nevermind.
  2. I was planning on going to Petco, a stadium I had not seen yet and been to a ballgame at, but after attending the Dodger series and having to watch Colon, and then watching the Twins blow the games to a last place team in Oakland, being deprived of getting to see Buxton, watching Dozier pout ......... I have convinced myself to see Petco some other time. I may still go. It is a real sickness.
  3. So you think that is a lock.... for a team with no pitching and a -72 run differential with 59 games left? Let's see, to win 74 games this season now, they would have to go 24-35. I have seen swoons by this team way worse than that. During the Dodger series, I kept telling myself it is the Dodgers.... everyone is losing to them and getting swept by them. But them I watched a pouting Dozier strike out 5 times in one game, Sano setting the MLB record for striking out, Taylor imploding..... hell, the whole pitching staff..... and do the same deer in the headlights against Oakland! They duplicated the futility against a last place team!..... .....and a 24-35 record the rest of the season is sure not a lock in my eyes. Trade the whole damn bullpen if they want.......
  4. This doesn't change much. Now instead of needing more than 5 runs to win games, they just need more that 6.... maybe 7.
  5. And/Or.... convert relievers to starters............
  6. High A prospect that is already pitching to an inning eater mid 4 ERA?? At least Meyer was AA. Washington really needed relievers. I can't believe that this is all the Twins could get. All future, no now. But Kintzler will be a better set up or 7th inning of a 7-8-9 closing team. I just think they didn't get much. But being a Twins' fan, I have felt that they have since the A.J. Pierzynski for Nathan,Liriano,Bonser trade.
  7. "Colon has given up seven runs on 16 hits in his 9.0 innings pitched for the Twins over two starts." Yup. Can't wait for another start...............
  8. I agree. I love watching him remind me of Ben Revere throwing it in from center.... and that baseball IQ for a guy so young........
  9. Thanks for the update. Early someone said he had a homer and a single. I get migraines, and a more fun type called ocular migraines with out the pain. I understand what kind of headache it is, and I do become high maintenance, and I don't find it insulting to say it.
  10. Naw....... better to talk about wives waking up, oyster juice, fork jokes, shameless plugs, concerts, when I wake up, mornings, my wife's sleeping habits, taking my car for granted...... but alcohol dependency and being brockmired in deep baseball during a game........ truly too heavy. I am getting with it. How about that clutch Dozier!
  11. OK. I'll move on to what I ate or am drinking. I guess here is a good place for that. No problem.
  12. I totally agree that your tangent is true. It doesn't change that players with a good eye at the plate or the perfect pitch have to be screwed forever. They earned the right call. We only had umpires guessing because we had no other instantaneous option that was better. We do now.
  13. Yup. Should have never moved on from black and white TV. I get it.
  14. Not the point. And there is no evidence to back your statement. None at all, because one will never know how the games would have turned out if they were called correctly. It is going to happen. And it will improve the game to have a true strike zone, like the game was designed to have.
  15. Really? Not what I see. I know you are trying to minimalize what I said, but I don't like any of the wrong calls, even when they go in my teams favor. I hate them all. I don't like the "they all even out" acceptance. Because they don't. They all change every game and produce a different result than what a good eye or pitch earned. They are all cheating the game.
  16. Dozier screwed on that one. Once more.... time for tech to call balls and strikes. It affects every game played. Should be bases loaded. Instead .... side out. Not a game goes by that isn't compromised by the wrong calls behind the plate. Not a one.
  17. Cuzzi... a name a Twins fan will never forget.
  18. Damn. Could have used that up here. We needed to keep Granite's incredible baseball IQ in the lineup, I guess.
  19. Pathetic. This is just how the Twins are playing now.
  20. That was ball four bases loaded............
  21. Granite couldn't get a bunt down in LA either.
  22. Can't find a update report on Buxton anywhere. Any news, anyone? Still migranes. High maintenance?
  23. Thanks for the summary. I must be looking at the wrong games to see him catching. I know I saw some DH spots, too.
