  1. "Drew Rucinski entered and because of an error, he was charged with three unearned runs on four hits in the eighth inning. He struck out two." Interesting spin on this. Because of an error? I see it as because he gave up 2 singles with 2 out before the errant throw, and two singles after it. A pitcher has the responsibility to pitch well, even with an error behind him. The error let in one run. The next single let in the other two. Sure they were officially unearned. But this was all about a pitcher imploding with 2 outs. That is the real, complete spin.
  2. Looks like the Dodgers will go yet another day without losing.......
  3. Progress, I agree. For super duper, in my book, the at bat doesn't end with the 3rd walk to load the bases, but a double in the gap, or at least a hit that drives in runs. We walk the bases loaded, and score nothing. Other teams get one walk, and our pitchers somehow let them score........... we waste walks and get nothing way too often.
  4. One high profile and beat into the ground grab, does not make him the GOAT. Frequency...... Nolasco was the annoying master.
  5. I have no idea what GOAT is here.....
  6. Dozier is adjusting his junk about as much as Nolasco did, now.
  7. Polanco!!!! Shock and awe...........
  8. This is the Santana I saw at Angel Stadium in the 7-3 loss (the Pujols 600 homer game) and against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. He is just soooooo inconsistent. I still can't believe he had such a good start of the season. You take up to May 7 away....... At least he still has some good outings too.
  9. With Gee coming up. I think a lot of fans will be checking out the rest of the year with this product being fielded......
  10. Mejia can't be giving up a homer to a lefty on a 1-2 count. 3 run dinger with 2 outs. ouch.
  11. Dozier needs a week off to get it together and rest up for the late season home run barrage.
  12. I am just relying on the tech. I am not calling them. The tech is, and showing us, every pitch. With no bias, With no bad angle. Consistent and correct. I have never wanted to be an umpire. I don't have the need for power in that role. That's it for me on the subject tonight. It is what it is.... until the tech is used, which is going to happen, just a matter of time now.......
  13. You said it, not me. Sure it cut over the plate....... sure it did. Umpires stand right there, and miss them all the time. No different tonight.
  14. Beltre called out on a clear ball inside. I hate it. Even if it was in favor of the Twins. I hate it. Ump was even looking right at it... looking over the inside shoulder.... still missed it.
  15. This team looks like they don't give a ..........
  16. It that new attention to advanced stats............
  17. Buxton only walked twice that at bat.... oh wait.... he swung at them. nevermind.
  18. I was planning on going to Petco, a stadium I had not seen yet and been to a ballgame at, but after attending the Dodger series and having to watch Colon, and then watching the Twins blow the games to a last place team in Oakland, being deprived of getting to see Buxton, watching Dozier pout ......... I have convinced myself to see Petco some other time. I may still go. It is a real sickness.
  19. So you think that is a lock.... for a team with no pitching and a -72 run differential with 59 games left? Let's see, to win 74 games this season now, they would have to go 24-35. I have seen swoons by this team way worse than that. During the Dodger series, I kept telling myself it is the Dodgers.... everyone is losing to them and getting swept by them. But them I watched a pouting Dozier strike out 5 times in one game, Sano setting the MLB record for striking out, Taylor imploding..... hell, the whole pitching staff..... and do the same deer in the headlights against Oakland! They duplicated the futility against a last place team!..... .....and a 24-35 record the rest of the season is sure not a lock in my eyes. Trade the whole damn bullpen if they want.......
