  1. Why is Pressly pitching in a game like this? Does he want his arm to fall off?
  2. Until they produce in the bigs or are traded for a quality big league player it doesn't mean much. Most future stars turn out not to be.
  3. So what are we hoping for Adam Dunn like player. Play a little OF early then switch to 1B/DH?
  4. IMO he needs to be dropped down in the lineup. He isn't a leadoff hitter anyway and right now it just doesn't make any sense. Drop him down to 5 or 6 maybe less pressure.
  5. Did anyone think that on June 1st the Twins would be looking up at the Tigers in the standings?
  6. I think Mauer would be a great fit for the Rockies if he'd do it.
  7. about 2 months if you have MIdco.
  8. The Twins gave up the 74th pick in the draft as well.
  9. The problem is the Twins scoring 2 and then giving up 3 the next half inning is kind of common.
  10. Wee Willie Woody is a funny name. Guess it fits.
  11. Might be Twins fans are expecting more from this team than they have to give. They only won 85 games last year while playing in the AL Central not the best competition. They were 34-23 against the KC, DET and Chi. 51-54 against the other teams. Maybe this is what they really are.
  12. Afton, Fort Selling, the Arboretum.
  13. The Indians were 31-31 last year on June 14. They went on to win 101 games. That's not to say they'll do that again but they did start slow last year as well.
  14. Probably not. Hughes has no value and is owed more money. I don't think Hanley is worth adding something to the pot to make the deal work money wise. Afraid Hughes is 100% dead money.
  15. Trade Hughes for him. If he fails you aren't out any more money than you were going to pay Hughes if he hits ok you could maybe flip him at the deadline. Hughes = nothing in return for cost, Hanley = a maybe something. Maybe something > nothing.
