  1. I know they have said he won't be traded but that usually doesn't mean much (GM's never lie) so I'd go after Vogt with the A's. Very solid LH bat with some power and he'd fit nice into our lineup. Might cost a lot but we have plenty of prospects and few spots for them all.
  2. Iglesias is a shortstop isn't he? How would he take Dozier's spot?
  3. Sure you can make a case for Dozier but the 2 guys that made the team certainly deserve their places. Not everyone can make the team and there are likely 10-12 other players that could or should be there as well. Happens every year.
  4. Lucky we didn't trade a productive major leaguer for this guy.
  5. Send him home he doesn't to be in Minnesota. Trade him to a team in Korea.
  6. This won't sit well with most but I think it's time to switch Dozier and Mauer in the lineup. Dozier has 13 hr's with 11 being solo a big waste of his power. Joe leads the league in dp's which is a big waste of runners. Mauer leads off tell him to forget pulling the ball go back to just getting on base and I think it would be better overall.
  7. Stauffer was dfa'd so there should be a 40 man spot open.
  8. Can they really go into St Louie with 13 pitchers? Has to be Duensing dfa'd, imo.
  9. I'll let you know what I think of this pick in about 5 years.
  10. I'm not sure why you would worry about getting a guy under slot when the next pick isn't until 73. Just take the best guy and pay him. By the 73/80 picks it's a crap shoot anyway.
  11. Twins are 5-10 against teams over .500 and 14-6 against those below .500. I'm not sure that means much this early in the year. That's enough baseball talk for tonight.
  12. Not sure I'd call the White Sox and the Native Americans as tough this year.
  13. Gardy is rather old school and with more teams stepping into the modern era he may have a much smaller pool of teams to fit. Replacing Scioscia with Gardy doesn't make much sense they are very much the same guy. What would you really gain? I was thinking he'd like the Mets job but now they are playing well so they may not make the change. Still think the most likely spot is the White Sox!
  14. Stubbs would likely work or Bourjos is sitting on the bench for the Cards. He doesn't hit much but he'd really help the D. Send Vargas down for some work, he looks over matched, and bring up Hicks to play LF. Let Arcia and Hunter play RF and DH. It might be time to find out if Pinto is a player or not like Hicks.
  15. Brian this is late but for your uncle!
  16. Either that or it might have something to do with blind squirrels.
