    Whether it's an injury or a slump, Kirloff just isn't consistent enough. It's been 4 weeks since he has done much of anything, whatever the reason it has been a trend since he has been in the big leagues.

    He has the potential to be higher than a mid rotation starter. He might be the key to another playoff appearance. Nice to see him come out to start the 6th with where his pitch count was at.

    Ok Mrs.B! You are the authority on all baseball subjects... I will defer to you and your expansive baseball knowledge from here on out. How dare anyone question Rocco and his decisions regarding pinch hitting, pulling starters and use of the BP.... But yeah... I will go crawl under my rock after the tough guy beat down on a baseball forum

    It makes zero sense... This minor league managing may work in May... Good luck when the season heats up

    Hard to believe a 12 game winning streak from late April thru early May gets you to a tie for second and still 2.5 gmes back. They did what was needed , beating some mediocre to really bad teams. Some good competition coming up, lets play .500 ball, hit or at least drive-in a run with the bases loaded and zero outs, play solid defense. Lewis cannot get back soon enough.

    Didn’t think they had this in them. When Correa and Lewis went down was hoping to hang around.500. They looked like sh** with their plate approaches and weren’t playing fundamental ball. Winning 8 in a row and going over .500, albeit against really bad teams, has them back in the hunt. The schedule stiffens again the next two weeks and will show if this team is for real.

    Absolutely should factor, but not a qualifier to pull after 6 and 84 pitches. He should have have had a short leash for sure

    No reason to pull Ober after 6 innings. I don’t understand why he wasn’t run out in the 7th, especially with his pitch count being in good shape. . The BP has been shaky and not quite as elite as we’ve been told and with Stewart unavailable another inning from Ober would have been ideal. they finally moved some runners over and had a couple of sac flys which was good to see,… but still finished 0-10 w/risp, they have to improve in that area to help the pitching staff.

    Unfortunately, those rankings are accurate and an indictment on how inept the front office and manager are. If the Pohland's have no interest in fielding a competitive MLB ball team, please sell... there are a lot of rich people out there that would bring accountability and establish some hope and excitement, instead of the excuses in why payroll needed to be slashed.

    And the argument could have been made that Kepler should never have been brought back. He has had 1/2 of a decent season since 2019... and the logic to rely on him is not only flawed but borderline insanity.

    I would take that bet any day... against them winning the division. Just not seeing them as a contender in the mediocre AL central ,. , it goes deeper than the last 14 games. It's the philosophy in AB's, the questionable to lousy defense, the lack of speed, the manager that continues to push all the wrong buttons.. it's brutal and a terrible approach on offense and the use of the BP at times is beyond frustrating. I would argue that you can count Ober as an MLB starter. Really all that needed to be done was acquiring one more SP and a viable 1st base and an outfield option. Instead payroll was slashed when just maintaining it would have allowed for those three positions to be addressed. whether through trades or free agency. We tend to hang on to all of our prospects when they rarely live up to the projected potential when they can be used to acquire viable major league talent. I will throw this out to the cheap ass Pohlands, fire the GM's and I will take a 1 million$ salary and use the savings to help field a contender... seriously, could the roster be construction be any worse?

    Treading water is a generous assessment.... 4-10 after winning their first two. Losing Lewis and Correa is certainly a factor in the anemic offensive output we are forced to watch (well forced to the extent if you want to watch your favorite team), however, there are seven starters remaining and bench players brought in that were thought of being capable to add some value to the team. Now the owners think the fans are naive or blind and should support this crap they are running out daily, hardly competitive in most games... unless our starters can hold the other team to 1-2 runs we are most likely going to lose. And then you have a manager that still loves pulling starters when they are cruising or pinch hitting for the best hitters in the 4-5th inning because of his whole right left philosophy... it is a joke and this is not what treading water looks like.

    The bullpen is irrelevant when you can’t score and when you do your down by 5. It’s going to be a battle with the CWS to see who can lock down the AL Central cellar… first team to 90 wins

    This move isn't going to change anything. They are dead last in team BA and 3rd to last in runs scored. They cannot hit, strike out way too much and fail to perform fundamental baseball. Throw in a defense that is beginning to falter and this season has disaster written all over it. Buxton, Margot, Castro, Santana all hitting around .200 are not helping matters... so no, this move does nothing.

    Does a 37-year-old Thielbar really move the needle? I always cringe when he is in high leverage situations, just like the killer performance in game #2 of last year's playoff series with Houston.... win that game and who knows. Regardless good to see him healthy.

    The bullpen is doing their job to date, unfortunately it doesn't matter when you cannot score runs while striking out nearly 40-50% of your AB's. Tomorrow the brooms are brought out and on to Detroit where 1-3 would be a win. Who could have seen this coming with the plate approach deployed by Rocco and Co.?

    All of our injuries, other than Lewis are they missing any other hitters? Cannot give Rocco and the FO cover by playing the injury hard 10 games into the season.

    Yea, I don't think I will ever get used to this type of sh*** baseball and the approach the team has implemented and are comfortable with at the plate. Living in Wisconsin I am forced to watch the Brewers.... as we saw in Milwaukee that team is disciplined and unfortunately a hell of a lot more fun to watch. Advancing runners, stealing bases, driving home RISP with a mediocre lineup, they somehow find ways to manufacture runs. If and or when the starting pitching staff hits some rough patches, we will be helpless with the swing at will approach.

    Listening to the game a little yesterday... this team is so bad at making contact I swear a call was made on a swing and miss that it was described as a nice-looking swing. A swing and miss and we are to the point where good looking swings is all we can expect. This approach is a joke, it is not good baseball, we do not have the power hitter's management think we have. There are many other ways to score runs... it starts with playing sound fundamental baseball and making contact.

    Following the game on the phone, so not seeing the strike zone…regardless of what it is they have 1 hit through 4 innings with 7 strikeouts. This offense is pathetic and really falls on Rocco and the organization. Also, if the ump is truly one sided then the manager should be ejected for standing up for the players.

    Was really disappointed that the FO failed to improve the rotation this winter. After watching the first six games not sure it would matter or if trading the top prospects for the Miami starter makes any sense. The Rocco approach is still in play, low scoring, tons of strikeouts, refusal to advance runners, PH'ing in early innings, no speed or attempts at stealing bases ... basically homerun or bust, and by bust I mean striking out. Just like last year the offense is brutal to watch. So does trading for another quality arm really change anything? Detroit and Cleveland appear to have passed the Twins in no time.

    It's early, they could turn it around, however the FO did nothing to improve last year's team. The manager keeps making the same head scratching decisions that fail nearly every time and there is zero life. I am half kidding when I post the crap I do... however, this team is currently lost while being led by a moron.
