  1. Stop reading… seriously , do they make the playoffs in any other division? No… big part of that was “give away “ games and marginal managing decisions the first 3 -4 months of the season. Keep the Rocco glasses on… he is not a manager.
  2. I believe you need to remove Baldelli, like yesterday, to get an understanding if the whole thing needs to be blown up. I honestly believe there is talent and Rocco's approach has ruined the season. His rigid approach and I'm smarter than anyone else needs to go. It would be helpful to see if a different manager could get more out of this lineup.
  3. I just cannot understand how anyone can defend Baldelli. The team has disappointed for three years, he mismanages the lineup, pitching, refuses to play small ball when the team is in their offensive offensive scoring droughts, constantly pushes the wrong buttons. They play like admiring grade schoolers when facing the Yankees and Guardians. It is beyond disappointing. I have to look no farther then to the team immediately to our East. Living in Wisconsin I end up watching plenty of Brewer games. The entire approach, from batting to handling the bullpen, is a night and day difference. Advancing runners, stealing, solid defense, bullpen roles identified... First year coack Pat Murphy is head and shoulders a better manager then our guy... and the players like and respect him while having fun. I could argue the Twins have better talent across the board, yet look like sh** way to often for way to long of stretches. So you cannot convince me the manager doesn't make a huge difference in players approaches and attitudes.
  4. Yeah , I know... Couldn't agree more.... Just cannot stand fans that place blame on the umps and not where it belongs...
  5. We are the only team suffering from the moving strike zone.... Please just stop the nonsense! We are playing terrible baseball, it's not the umps!
  6. Blaming the HP ump could be a new low for the diehard Twins fans.... It happens way to often and is a unflattering excuse. The team cannot hit with RISP, fails at basic execution and is lead by a manager that just hasn't brought me any hope... Horrible decisions and lineups for 3 years. Cleveland is running away with the division,? only hope is they find some offense and nab a WC spot... Looking doubtful at this point
  7. The first move should be the manager.... That's not happening so any other coaching staff move is pretty much irrelevant. This team is an offensive train wreck.
  8. Just feel like this is a big win to pick up 2 games on the Royals versus the split, especially after winning the first two. Play your best players, regardless of the LHP matchup... and lets get Lewis up..
  9. We won’t catch Cleveland playing.500 ball the remainder of the season. We most likely don’t catch KC playing.500 ball the remainder of the season. It’s early but today seems like an important game… make up two games on KC or end where we started on Monday.
  10. Lose tomorrow and it is basically a lost series. Cannot make up ground playing.500 baseball… the way Cleveland is playing they will need to do win these type of series to be a wild card team. It appears Cleveland is the best team in this division.
  11. My bad... you're correct, 3 WC teams, they would play Seattle in Seattle. Still a lot of work to do, starting with taking 2 of the remaining 3.
  12. As of now they are not making the playoffs. The pitching staff has been pretty good, the bats are more concerning. You are correct, if they were able to make the playoffs it will probably be as a wildcard team, another starter may not be needed in that series... Howver they are one starter injury away from being in big trouble.
  13. I would explain it to the level of competition. Texas is not the same team, at least currently, than they were last season. Still 12 wins in a row, regardless of who they were against is not easy. The seven losses took away my increasing optimism . They just don't compete against the Yankees or Guardians, which is an issue if they make the playoffs.
  14. That’s it right there. You’re one out from at least qualifying for the win. Give him the opportunity. SWR could be a key factor if they have any chance to make the playoffs. Build the confidence!
  15. I’ve said it many times, been told to crawl back under my rock… Rocco a nice guy, terrible manager.
  16. Trade for what? This team is flawed beyond repair.
  17. Careful… Mrs. B will attempt to put you in your place. Seriously this should have happened two years ago. Nice guy, but has zero feel for what’s actually happening on the field or with the team. Analytics have there place, shouldn’t be the answer to everything ,
  18. I am going to crawl back out from under my rock to give my two cents…. This is really ugly baseball that isn’t conducive to the winning the division or making a wildcard appearance. Yea… but they are playing hard
  19. Outfield miscues are more of a reflection on the lack of talent than lack of focus, The talent in the outfield is a mess and for many was very predictable. i agree, cowering to the big bad Yankees for two decades is getting really tiring.
  20. You do realize they have injuries also and are missing their best pitcher?
  21. Not the type of mentality that produces winning baseball.... looking at the opposing starter and give yourself the loss before even taking the field. The dreaded Yankees have had our number before the Lewis and Stewart injuries.
  22. It's been years of being pounded by the Yankees, quite frankly the playoffs are meaningless until you pull up the big boy pants and play competitively against them and the top teams in the AL east. This year Baltimore and the NYY. They are like awe struck middle schoolers watching something that is beyond them... It doesn't pay to watch or even follow these series against the big bad Yankees.
  23. 100% agree. Duran is your closer, that should be his role unless you are in must win games.. He's been very good at closing for a year and a half... Plus his future earnings will be effected/determined by saves. At some point you would think he may not be happy in his new role, maybe not...
  24. That's why you have your best reliever pitch in save situation. I hope when Stewart comes back Duran is used in closer roles. Right now I don't have much of an issue with Duran's usage.
  25. They Any preseason worries about the starting rotation are quickly fading ... Now keep everyone healthy.
