    I’m confident that he will be deployed in situations that make him very successful! Allstar like successful. This is what pitching depth looks like and why the twins will have a great season!!

    The team is not cash strapped and the Pohlads will be gone by May1. Paddack absolutely could have a Jax/Duran type season in the bullpen. 2WAR equates to twice his salary so he could become a huge bargain.

    There are a few reasons that Paddack is not overpriced and he will not be traded. #1 he is another year removed from TJ surgery. #2 he is young enough to still become an allstar talent pitcher. #3 The Pohlads will not be paying his salary so stop protecting their pocket book. #4 The FO has probably been told not to make any MLB deals due to the pending team sale unless there is a gross overpay by a club wanting a younger role player. As bad as Paddack was at times last season, he could be an allstar reliever in ‘25 based on how well his stuff plays up in short outings. He won’t be going anywhere.

    Sabato and before that Cavaco. The 1st round picks ran thru a horrible few picks for years. Is it really that hard to pick a decent player early in a draft? Rosario and Raya could still be MLB regulars but I do agree that the 2020 draft was sub par.

    I think we have enough outfielders that don't hit much. Lets not get more of that. It would be interesting to figure out what went wrong with Harold Ramirez

    It seems like he is very talented but just not ready for everyday MLB utility. Will he be in the future? I would not bet against him and the Twins better not give up on him. He could definitely live up to allstar super utility player in the next couple years. He doesn’t have to hit home runs but 50-60 xbh in 500 PA along with 100 runs scored is badly needed on a team of sluggers. We need baserunner guys and he showed in the first half of ‘24 how that can translate into winning baseball.

    Roki would be the best FA signing for the twins in a decade. It would open up our ability to make several trades, not for salary dumping but for upgrading talent. Several guys are already redundant and potentially in the way of higher upside rookies. The couple of minor deals that have been done are simple AAA depth insurance. The real deals may never get done but there are sone that should and would have significant impact on the franchise. Signing a big time talent in Roki would be the catalyst to get it all started. The Pohlads won’t get it done tho.

    I can see a way that Raya is no longer a prospect by 1/‘25. He may be in the twins bullpen by July. This years rookie class may go much deeper than expected simply because of all the questions involved with the last 2 rookie classes. Either way, this is a great list!

    Exactly my friend. Duran is cheap talent and the proposed trade is for marginal talent like Dobnak.

    How is anyone gonna pay Vasquez $10M to play besides us. And why would we retain $5M salary in a trade? We are stuck with him and the Pohlads are going to suck up the 142M. Lastly, why dump Paddack? He is still young and can be a horse in the bullpen. His salary isn’t backbreaking high.

    Its a young team with 3 core contract guys. I would think a new owner would want some sort of foundation to build on. If the Pohlads sell out and try to dump a contract, as a buyer, I would pay less for the franchise. Just my opinion but the books seem lean but then if I was a billionaire buyer, I would invest in a winner not a skeleton of a franchise.

    First of all, C4 isn’t going to be traded. Lastly, we aren’t rebuilding, retooling or rearranging furniture. We are running back our money ballers.

    Yet it took an historic collapse in Sept to miss the playoffs. When the high paid stars don’t play and we send 4 rookie SP out to pitch against teams fighting to get into the post season, bad things happen. ‘25 will be significantly different if the guys in their prime play daily. Sprinkle in the rookies and sophomores and we will get better results.

    Corey Lewis is also close to MLB. There are many that should get a deep dive into their chances at making it to the show in ‘25. Most of them will hopefully get to refine their craft in the high minors but I can see a half dozen or more knocking down the door by August.

    Tons of questions with these three and just about everyone else in some respect. The Vikes and Wild just came off disappointing seasons and had as many question marks. All three teams are young and developing new talent. Even if the Twins don’t make any splashy trades or FA signings, we should expect these 3 and everyone else to take a step forward in development. Before injuries derailed aug/sept, the Twins were a solid playoff team. Expect these guys to play more like ‘23 than late ‘24!
