    Mrs Ash and I spent pretty much our last weekend of freedom (i.e., she was about 8 months pregnant for our first child) on a spur of the moment vacation in Fargo, and we loved it. Delicious locally grown steaks on the menu, and the Red River is a lot of fun for canoeing. Very pleasant town. Plus a short drive into the prairie brought us to the tallest man-made structure in North America, or so it was claimed. I liked the place so much, I have never gone back!

    Reno had an independent-league team called the Chukars (pronounced chucker) between their single-A Silver Sox and AAA Aces eras. The team mascot had a Chief-worthy groaner of a name: Chubby Chukar.

    Considering that 40th-rounder Austin Bizzle has appeared in his first game, it seems to me that the chart could be updated to reflect his being signed rather than just agreed. I think we might all be curious to see what the final chart of signings looks like.
