I would agree, and what's funny is that this is probably bad for the business of baseball. When owners were closer to looking for eye test players as opposed to farming that out to people with no financial interest, the product was better.

It will depend on how many wins they have come July to know the answer to this. Win and the fans will forget it. Lose and they'll go away until the team starts to win again.

Considering something like this was their contingency plan I wouldn't be surprised if they start to move toward more of a national platform similar to the NFL, but with regional broadcasts.

That at bat was the second time I said "what the hell" while watching a Phillies game. The first time was the last time they put him up to bat in a huge situation.

Not from time on the field, but way too much working out during and between seasons. That's why they can't be on the field as much. Ridiculous I know.

Players playing the game and not worrying about getting hurt was so much more fun to watch. They were in nowhere nearly as good of shape, but their bodies weren't as overworked either.

Yeah if they are the only game that day and you're watching on TV you're complaining that they didn't move the game to the evening so you could watch. More people watch on TV than go to the game.

Oakland has become a terrible market, but no one is talking about what makes Las Vegas a good market? It doesn't seem like there is any reason to think there will be a baseball culture there, and baseball doesn't feel like a travel destination the way football is.
