The Twins Daily writer clearly cannot read. Passan clearly said "teams look at what the Twins are asking for to acquire Duran or Jax -- at least two top-100-caliber prospects". Passan says 2 top-100 prospects for Duran OR Jax. Not for a package of both.

Were they supposed to fly him to Seattle before sending him to AAA? Instead they flew him to Omaha and he was available to play on Thursday. There is value in assembling a talented team at AAA and in McCusker getting at-bats after getting 6 at-bats during his 9 games in the MLB roster.
Triston Casas was not traded for a quality pitcher for the same reason that Pete Alonzo is still waiting for a free-agent contract. The production difference is not worth the asking costs in dollars or players. Casas sounds a lot like a left-handed Jose Miranda, though a little more consistent.
The mythology around Torri and Morneau makes for a good story but the reality is different. Neither one bounced up and down several times. They each had one decently long stretch stretch in MLB, was sent down once for a stretch and was then back up for good. You can actually look it up.
In each case, it seems the Twins are giving way too much or literally nothing for the return. Keoni Cavaco for Mark Canha? Caleb Boushley for Ryan Pressley? Only if the PTBNL is a top 15 prospect. Rengifo for Keaschall +? It would be theft if the Angels got Keashall by himself. Please have some sense of reality in these scenarios.
Using a single offensive statistic. But no one (except maybe some hater Mets fans) truly believes that he is overall only 17% better than the average MLB player.
They reached last year's win count with very little offense from either Buxton or Correa and less than Correa's average defense. They had the second best pitcher in the league but lost more than half of his starts. They COULD easily beat last year's total.
"There's No Such Thing As A Pitching Prospect" Even though you stole Sonny Gray for a Minor League rookie does not mean you should trade someone with value (Polanco) for Harrington, a high-A 'prospect'. Why would Pittsburgh be interested in a veteran 2B with a year plus a reasonable option? They are going nowhere in that timeframe.
Listened to Atteberry work with Gladden for the short time this summer while Corey was filling in for Bremer. It was like Atteberry was teaching his grandfather about 21st century baseball. It was hilarious.
Cody check your math. Even though they are both the dreaded 'small sample size' you refer to his strikeout and walk totals before and after his IL time, and refer to a minor improvement. K/BB before 9.3. K/BB after 1.5. More than a minor improvement. K% drop from 28% to 19%. BB% up from 3% to 12%. The after numbers are much closer to his career MiLB numbers, as his MiLB K/BB is 2.2.
Yes I'm a bot. At least this bot can remember Ryan Jeffers getting intentionally hit by Texas on 8/25 after hitting a huge HR in the 8th inning on 8/24 and celebrating big time. Just look at Houston's catcher's response when Garcia turns to yell at him. His look says , 'yeah, I'm embarassed by what my team just did'.
