  1. Out of this group I would say Servais, but given the payroll issues here, he will get a better offer. The other three sound like Rocco 2.0.
  2. Thank you Nick. This a reasoned and accurate summation of the current roster.
  3. Injury history-check. Batting average under .200-check. Multiple DFA’s-check. Add in a few Rule 5 picks of similar stature and they will probably be done.
  4. Dude has one start. Calm down! If the Twin’s had drafted him, he would be playing golf, and he wouldn’t see the MLB field for at least another 3 years.
  5. Bad on the field- bad in the room. Should be a no- brainer, but this IS the Twin’s, so they will sign him for sure.
  6. I doubt they get to triple digits on payroll.
  7. Agree with the trades. No major league team should have Vasquez, Outman or Gasper on it. Can’t really have Larnach AND Wallner either. Martin, Lee and Clemens on VERY short leashes.
  8. I’d prefer Plouffe. Probably neither though. It will likely be someone with little to no experience who won’t push back against a very active FO.
  9. It’s irrelevant if the FO isn’t cleared out first. Falvey will never give a manager complete control, and that is the only way anything changes. I suspect they will just bring in Rocco 2.0.
  10. The fact that all these prospects were good in the minors but it ends under Rocco ‘s (and his hand-picked staff) says it does matter who the manager is. They have not taken one position player prospect and turned him into MLB quality. Did the FO miss on EVERY pick? Fire the entire FO.
  11. How many young players didn’t get worse once they made it onto Rocco’s team???? Zero.
  12. Out of the position players, the only ones who should have a guaranteed spot are Buxton, Jeffers and Keaschall.
  13. The NFL also has what appears to be a completely arbitrary challenge system. The outcome of a challenge all too often has no basis in objective reality. If the strike zone works, use it. If not, don’t.
  14. “Fringe player who can’t hit for average or field is one of Twin’s best players”! And therein lies the problem.
  15. No. The pivotal point was the payroll dum after winning a playoff series. That led to this mediocre roster. Winning games doesn’t factor into their decision making.
  16. He peaked. It happens. Julien is in the same boat.
  17. The Pohlad’s (nor the fans) believe this team is competitive. The window is painted shut. They will likely trade Pablo and Ryan, and at that point, Buxton should demand a trade.
  18. Agreed. Once they trade Lopez/Ryan, give up on Lewis, lose Jefferson to FA/too much money, and Buxton demands a trade or retires, what’s left? Basically an expansion team.
  19. What I came on here to say. Are they finally coming to the conclusion that there is something really wrong with the underlying data?
