    What you saw in 2024 is what you will get in 2025. They won't likely be horribly bad but they won't be great either. Typical Pohlad owned team. We likely won't see any game changers added either as they cost more than we will pay. Another 80 win team that can't beat the good teams is on the 2025 horizon.

    .356 against PO teams, granted I may have missed a series in that record. This doesn't create excitement in your team.

    Lets be fully honest, this is a mediocre team. The past off season added more mediocrity than greatness. By far. The record proves it. 4th place 82-78. That record itself is deceiving. 27-5 against CWS, Oak and Anaheim and a couple NL bottom dwellers. Against the rest of the league? Teams that are above them in the standings? 55-73. A .429 team. This doesn't draw people out in droves. Thanks for your take though.

    I know one guy in particular who should be on the bench today. A lot of guys struggling but Buxton's move last night warrants a benching.

    10 seasons later Byron Buxton looks like the same player that debuted who didn't have a clue of how to hit ML pitching. 4 more seasons to go of watching him regress and taking up a large portion of payroll.

    That's the Pohlad mentality. Sign Mauer in 2010, Correa in 2023 to big buck deals then think you can stay in the shallow end of the pool in filling out the roster around them. I guess I forgot the bad investment made in Buxton. He thinks he can hit HR's with Ruth and Bonds. Instead he K's. A lot. He has a lot of the same talent of Rickey Henderson,but not the make up.

    I'm still not sure why we consider Detroit as easy pushover W's. They're not. LAA could be an equal to this team too by the looks of it. They better get well on CWS I would say.

    Unfortunately its not just the swing for the fences mentality that is hurting the game. The pitching mentality of you have to throw at 100 plus and have a 13-15k rate per nine that is harming it just as bad. The human body isn't able to do this over the long haul in the vast majority of people. The quality of the game has suffered. I spend just a fraction of the time watching that I once did. I grew up watching 70's and 80's ball. A 4-3 game with well played D a HR mixed in and both teams combining for 10 K's was baseball. Yeah Nolan Ryan and Steve Carleton were exceptions. The game is suffering, and so are the Twins and the fans who grew up watching the real game of baseball.

    Maybe it is Falvey that needs to be called on the carpet. He dumped Polanco for a prospect. He traded for a broken SP in DeSclaffani. His big sign is Carlos Santana. He brought in a unperforming Margot. I get it.They were told to cut payroll. But the off season moves were poor ones. A division winning team was made poorer by the FO.

    The excuse will be that we have a doubleheader. So Willie Castro got the guy out. It still sends a bad message to the team and the fans. You're telling Jackson that we have no confidence in you to throw 6 more pitches and get 1 more out. You're telling your fans that the game is a joke and that this is a clown show. Yes it's just 1 game and we're only 11 games in. But this is nonsense and a poor way to move ahead.

    Lets not take a risk. That is the strategy taken this season by the Twins. It hasn't paid dividends early this season.

    I'm in the camp of it's 4 games. I'm fine with 2-2 in those 4. I wasn't expecting a sweep in KC and it's always tough to beat someone in their home opener. Let's see what we look like in a couple of weeks.

    I look at the make up of the trade a little different than others. I see it as We received Topa and cash for taking DeSclafani off of Seattles hands. We traded Polanco for Gonzalez and Bowen. This is how I see it. The organization said they were not trading Polanco for prospects. They did not do as they said they would. That is my opinion.
