Julien. Hitting went south, will he recover? Not a 2B, black hole. Call me pessimistic. SWR spot in the rank I think is fair. I probably would have left Raya out as well. He's done and proven nothing to warrant tying our wagon to him.

I don't get Correa being rated at #16 at all. imo he should be at #1. We have 120mil invested in him for the next 4 years and if he doesn't perform at that level the team can't recover from that. Yes it would sting if we don't hit on Jenkins, but that wouldn't limit the team like a Correa failure would. That is a very poor placement.

Any of them on an milb is fine. Acquiring more Gaspers and Fords is certainly one way to inspire the fan base.

I don't think we would get him for the price of a simple waiver claim, we're too far down in the order. I'm also not giving up someone that we truly believe in either. A mid level prospect would make sense and if a deal can be made for that, then yes absolutely. It would be nice to be the team that unlocks Cartaya. He's not making the team out of camp btw if he was acquired.

Yes it sounds great that we have a good ranked system. But if these guys continue to fare poorly once they get to the ML level what does it matter? My sense is the struggling will continue until the rash platooning stops.

This. Detroit added. KC has addressed a weakness. Cleveland has shuffled some pieces. CWS can likely only improve over 41 wins. Twins have signed the ultra versatile Mike Ford. Detroit and KC are also still being linked to players still on the board, which is more than the Twins are. We are only being linked to trading two guys just so we can meet "budget."

Falvey get your thumb out of your rump. Dodgers don't need Rushing. They are going for it this season again.

When Falvey is on the phone talking to LAD about Cartaya, who I propose getting for a low level prospect, he talks to them about Rushing. Actually he needs to do more than talk he needs to act. Bring in another team that could take Jeffers and help meet LAD's price on Rushing. A three team trade would be creative. Vazquez could be kept to tutor Rushing. Then you find a backup next season.

The Twins should work out a trade with LAD for Diego Cartaya who's was DFA'd. Who knows maybe his career could get resurrected.

Who will sign Sasaki? Easy call, LAD. When will be soon.

To sum up what I have read in the comment section, there are a lot of the TD posters that I would prefer were managing the team instead of Baldelli, and I am among the least of the Rocco bashers. He's a nice guy as far as I'm concerned. But strategy needs to change. The direction of the team needs to change.

You do these moves in hopes of getting Willi Castro II. Except for Ford isn't Castro. He's 5 years older, 7 years in comparison to when Castro was signed and Ford has zero versatility. No I agree there is no bad milb signing, until these guys make the team and stink and further hinder the development of in house candidates. To sum up the state of the Twins, we have no money to make moves and nobody wants the players we want to move.

Rushing would be a great add, even if it meant expanding the trade with other players involved.

Alex Freeland, Diego Cartaya and another player I'd be willing to consider. Cartaya's star may have burned up never to shine again,so maybe not. But if the other pieces are tantalizing I'd consider it. Duran has great value.

I concur with chepettit. I'm open to trading Duran, but not if the return is a long the lines of this proposal.

We have Vazquez, and I think that is how it will stay. Nobody wants him for 10mil. Falvey overpaid and will have to live with that.

So we're going to take a step backwards to save 1-2mil, if that? Trade Zazquez and eat 4-5 mil, then sign McCann for 4mil. In the effort you just made your team much worse. Creative.

I agree with you also. I'm not sure of which pieces would best fit together but I do see Baltimore as a team that will heavily pursue Lopez because they have to. They're in a corner right now. Sure they could also pivot to Flaherty and Pivetta but Lopez is a better option as far as talent level goes. And as you mentioned, the prospects either need to play and have a place to play or they just crash and burn.
