  1. I'm glad you mentioned the catcher/pitcher relationship. I think it's more valuable than people generally give it credit for (especially when posting negative Vasquez comments)
  2. guess we'll sign whichever AAAA players take venmo
  3. I think it takes something like Vasquez, SWR, Raya/Soto to get Cease (plus a Falvey lottery ticket). Factor in Vasquez salary relief, and that we can either trade him again at the deadline or get a comp pick when he leaves. I'd like our chances in October a lot more with that rotation.
  4. Zebby made his run with an otherworldly 10.55 career K/BB ratio in milb. (CJ is at 3.08. Prielipp 4.36 and Lee 2.15 have a pretty SSS) Another guy who has a shot and is not mentioned very often around here is Pierson Ohl, who had a great 2023 and has a career 6.11 K/BB.
  5. Absolutley. It's their best chance of having a dominant rotation. Varland can take his pen spot.
  6. Also, we no longer have to worry about who will be pitching in the playoffs.
  7. If management is watching the same games we are... they're sellers. No reason to waste resources on this season.
  8. B. They haven’t improved the team, but the additions they’ve made have all been sensible, and the farm system got better. I think Falvey is saving resources for one big pitcher move, either during ST or at the deadline.
  9. Martin on the opening day 26 makes a lot of sense to me. If Buxton is healthy, great, but it's still nice to have a third option in CF to make sure he stays that way. Castro will be playing all over.
  10. My second bold prediction is that KC wins the division.
  11. I'll say # 1 and 3. Plus, in July they trade a few of their best prospects for a frontline starter and bullpen piece.
  12. With Marwin's ability to play infield they don't necessarily need Blankenhorn, and an extra-inning speedster might make the most sense.
  13. well thought out, and you might be right. It only takes a couple extra-inning close plays at the plate to be worth the roster spot, and we'll generally have a good hitter or two on the bench to sub in if it doesn't work.
  14. That's fine. Now they can sneak up on people.
  15. I'd like to see what happens when the season starts. Let's not forget Eddie has stretches when he carries the team.
  16. Nice. 6 cleanup hitters and 3 guys who could lead off.
  17. I kinda like Nick Gordon to make some impact this year as an injury replacement.
  18. If they add Balazovic to the 60.... that likely means he's getting traded. I hope he stays off of it this year!
  19. Teams know this trading issue when making their 60-man roster. I think a bunch of huge trades will go down.
  20. 48-12, and they'll break a bunch of records (with asterisks of course).
  21. I really like the 30-man roster. This team is going to have an attitude and they will be hard to beat. Let's hope a couple of the new relievers work out.
  22. It's going to be fun, and the Twins are pretty well positioned. I think they'll win it all!
